We are delighted to add Giorgio to the team. His experience and leadership will unlock synergies in a wholistic and robust manner. The whole management team are excited to add more value, whole working as a diverse group. Truly these changes represent a paradigm shift, but one which is grounded in our commitment to accelerate our transformation to a sustainable organisation, that includes all stakeholders.

I don't know the most appropriate thread to comment on this so I'll just do it here, but a few months ago when there were vague links between Milan and PIF, there was a lot of fear-mongering commentary here about that PIF buying into Milan would just about wreck us on this side of Milan.

(Click any article you want.)

This affects Newcastle as well. PIF scaling back on foreign investment. Not that we've heard much involving PIF and Milan in recent months anyway, but maybe this wasn't worth getting too worked up about after all.

They got the World Cup and overpaid for many 2nd tier stars to play there, that was their goal.
Newcastle is now a plaything. They never really pumped any serious money there anyway.

According to Il Sore, Goldman Sachs and other investment banks have informed Oaktree of potential investors who are interested in buying Inter. As an investment fund, Oaktree evaluate all the offers and opportunities but there are some people inside Oaktree, including head of Inter project Alejandro Cano, who are of the opinion fund should maintain control of the club for at least 3 years before considering a sale.

Are they hoping the club will appreciate in value?

they will not sell for less than Sunning would have. Makes no sense for a new owner to offer more at this point our debt is still really bad and will not be profitable until we have a new stadium and get wages/amortization under control.

team is competitive and has a strong young backbone of players that can be here for 5+ more season with a strong pipeline of players out on loan. It's not like 2015 when we had a joke of a roster and no prospects and doing bad in the league.

Yeah, but we still don't have the squad depth to compete in 3 competitions. Inzaghi has essentially pulled off miracles.

none of them has proven anything so far in my book and we all know Inzaghi is most probably not gonna play them

They're all playing at a decent level with a reasonable amount of consistency. GK stanko just trained and broke through to the first team and allegedly played well against us, Aleksander Stankovic is only 18 and already a regular player in a very outperforming team in the Swiss league. Pio Esposito is in his second season of regular Serie B football aged just 19 and scoring at @a 1in2 rate, Fabbian has several CL games under his belt already, and Zanotti has 1k minutes under his belt already this season, broke through to the first team after bench time and only missed games to injury since

You're right none of them have really done shit yet but all of them are on the correct paths to making a serious run at an Inter worthy career where normally these kids would be Serie B or Serie C not even on the bench. If they have the right development over the next 2 seasons and the rest of this season, they all have a shot at being useful for Inter.

Oaktree is pushing for a second team asap and willing to invest on that. Chivu as the top coach candidate. Baccin as director.

That's why we bought too many kids. Love them already.

In a way it's a smart move to have legitimate "farm team" in place. However, to make it less of a strain financially on Oaktree, investment in the first team would bring in monies to help support this 2nd team as well. Maybe not, it could be a ploy to make "the Inter package" more valuable in the future given that stadium issue is resolved, for the next buyer.

can you own 2 1st division teams?

seems like a massive massive conflict of interest. if them tying us somehow saves them from being demoted.

In different leagues, yes, in the same league no. If Bari ever got promoted to Serie A, De Laurentiis would need to sell his shares in either Bari or Napoli.

no, you cant. wasnt it lazio and salernitana who had that issue a few years ago? one club got placed into a blind trust?

Inter B wouldnt be about getting to Serie A. it'd be competing in Serie C/B and developing younger players. Same as Juve U23

we should buy a team in Argentina we have a hard on for their players. Great place to send our youth players or if we buy prospects from other latin American leagues I think they can have 4+ foreign players.

do a Red Bull type deal. or when we sued Inter Miami we should have been like cool you can have the name we have 10% of your club
