Good piece of business by Roma getting rid of a talented albeit injury prone hot head. As for being "picked up" by Milan grande, Tonali and Zaniolo together:lol:, more drama on the way.

I would argue this Nainggolan goal vs Rube alone was worth the Zani-yolo swap - even when he was at his peak. But now it's not even up for discussion. Great swap deal for us(y)

I don't know if it is ego or injuries (or both), but he still has time to revive his career. He is still 23. Some players fail to live up to the early expectations. Some players are a bad fit to their club/manager's tactics and some players don't take their job very seriously. He might regain his form and his price go up like crazy again, or he becomes another Balotelli.

There are several players whose careers went up or downhill in a few years based on their career decisions or how they worked themselves up and down. To name a few: Edwin Van Der Sar, Thiago Silva, Thierry Henry, Claudio Lopez, Coutinho, Griezmann, Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes...

Zaniolo is going through a rough patch, but he still has time to save his career. Anyway, it doesn't make the Naingolann-Zaniolo swap any less terrible.
