What? There was a stage in the second half he missed like 5 passes in a row, culminating with him losing the ball inside our own half to tonali leading to acerbis yellow card. He was good, but not great. Unfortunately no one was really good tonight except lautaro.

Everyone was bad at that point.

Lautaro was great, too.

The entire team stopped playing football after the half, minus Lukaku's 20 minutes.

He was good okay but he almost gave away two free goals if Milan’s attackers had little footballing brain.

He's clearly exhausted after covering 75% of the field left right and centre. Arguably him and Lautaro are the 2 most indispensable players in our team, even slightly ahead of Bastoni and Calha. There's simply no clear deputy for his role.

At moments he was unplayable and looked as good as I always wish he could be. Yea, mistakes happened, but for a derby game, he was one of the reasons why Milan barely even did anything this game.

It must be demoralizing to play against Inter when we play like this

After the first shot towards goal after 1 minute he was already waving his arms and after the second shot he went crazy. Needs to calm the f*ck down. Immense player for us. But I don’t like him getting the balls from the defenders at 5M and then pass it to another defender. Such passes are for the defenders.

He's a real baller. But again and again, he tends to lose every single duel when it goes physical. I understand that he's rather short but the guy needs to gain some strength. There is a bunch of players whom are rather short but they are so strong and it's very difficult to win a physical challenge against them.

He needs to learn a little bit from Verratti or Kante.

Think of it like this. You can't just make forward passes all the time, we'd be gassed up in 30 minutes. Ball retention in your own half is just as important for building pressure on opponents as much as on their half.

We are building from the back, because we aren't always trying to force a counterattack, but rather looking for a Lukaku/Lautaro/DiMarco run in to open, which, yesterday, did happen. For that we need to make Milan shift left and right until they fuck up and give space. DiMarco especially was enjoying himself in the first half.
Sure, we could've scored more in the first half, but our gameplan more or less worked and Pioli kinda shot himself in the foot.

Shame that the clip was cut short, the string of passes after this were a joy to watch.

I thought that beautiful combination of passes was while Darmian had the ball on his feet and then passed it to Dzeko. Not sure if it was the same occassion as this one with Barella.

When he plays Inter plays.
Honestly this is the best it can be summed up. When he is switched on it doesn't matter if other midfielders aren't - like Mhiki last night. We still play well.
I do worry about the locker room chemistry because he chimps out on his teammates too much, even if he is right about it. Early in the game last night Hakan had the ball on the left side just out of the box, Barella was alone on the right flank and Hakan opted out to shoot. Barella went absolutely ballistic, he flapped his arms so hard I thought he was gonna fly out of San Siro.

So much about team's group decision not to do that shit anymore.
