It’s valid in terms of teamwork. Not every footballer continuously yell at his teammates.
Arguing with teammates in the middle of the game instead of applauding to give him confidence can always go wrong in my opinion. Also it gives motivation to the opponents who will try to take advantage of it.
Anyway this is why Barella shouldnt even get near the captain armband.
Tbh I don't think it's valid because imo reactions will always be more intense on the football pitch.
Yes it's teamwork all the same but it's not the same environment, as a developer when we successfully release a new version in production we don't get up in the office, run to the corner and start celebrating and hugging each other lol.
But more seriously, even in Lukaku's or Brozovic' case, it's a part of who they are and as long as their teammates don't take it to heart, we, supporters from our couch, should be fine with it. Imo, in Barella's and Brozovic's case I'd much more easily forgive it because these guys run 11km every game. They complain, then immediately start running. Lukaku can stay at the same point with his arms in the air and a shocked look on his face because he was asking for the ball behind two defenders and then walk his way back on side, lol. Someone could argue that Calhanoglu gives 110% on the pitch and runs everywhere like a dog and you never see him bitch or complain but these are real people they are all different in their own way.
It's not a big deal in my opinion.
