Stupid! Instead of making a new stadium somewhere else they're gonna spend years remaking GM. Where the fuck are we going to play our games all these years now?
That’s not how i read that article.

The new stadium will still be constructed next to the Meazza it’s just that now instead of a partial demolition it will be a full demolition once the new stadium is complete. We aren’t remaking the Meazza in any way.

That how I understood it but I could be wrong

This is gonna be fun.
They want a smaller stadium, with a 12% capacity reserved for VIP seats, like EPL, meanwhile this means that tickets and season pass are going to become very expensive, also very difficult to obtain.
This is how you increase your stadium revenue, by milking your loyal supporters like cash-cows.
I presume they will be disappointed when the new stadium will not be at full capacity for 90%of games, since in the past we likely filled San Siro for 45k on average.
People don't like to spend big money to watch a football game, for example a four people family would take into account a €200 per game, considering 4 tickets (40+40+25+25=130), parking (€20), dinner and fuel.
How much would cost a season pass?
300 plus fuel and amenities?
Most people would take a tv subscription, and we will return speaking of half filled stadiums except for big games two or three times a season.
The alternative is to keep the 80k capacity and don't have to increase prices for normal seats, while making VIP more expensive to compensate.
Of course, they will make a 50k stadium, I know already....

For inter or total? The revenues are shared with Milano correct.
In total. So we will get €60 mil before tickets if the projections are correct.

We'll know where the city stands on the 28th. And on.

Still a lot of episodes to be played here.

Sala will be with the clubs on this one. AFAIK now there is this public debate process and after that I think the decision will be made.

Can't see how the public debate can change the plans since the Sesto San Giovanni card is still there and Sala is going to use that if there will be an opposition.

Some factors of various groups:

1) People who love the stadium
2) People who don't believe in big investments
3) People who do believe in big investments don't believe Italy (ie government or branch) can pull them off
4) People who don't like it when the government gets involved in big projects (from both political extremes)
5) People who always say no for no reason

Can't bother to know or check the Municipality political party composition, but if this escalates to the wider public, there are a lot of people who could be whining here.

I might add to that right now you have the perfect shit storm in Italian politics for some egocentric idiot politician to gain National attention by taking a strong stance on the Milanese stadion question one way or another.....
