I've accepted the fact that I'm now rural trash, like Fitzy, but I can't accept the quality of restaurants around here.

Admittedly only a small sample size due to lockdown but so far the handful of restaurants I've ordered from have been dismal. Can't believe I used to complain at the lack of choice available on uber eats at my previous address. In terms of numbers, there's only a 3rd as many places you can order from up here. Half them are probably different cunts on a bicycle stopping by 7/11 to get you a week-old sandwich for $7.

I genuinely don't know anything about Australian food other than vegemite and some chain steakhouse I see sometimes. Actually I did go to a German beerhall once where they had kangaroo sausages sossy. Is that a common dish?

Pretty much. The reason you do not know anything about Australian food is because there is no Australian food. Australia's cuisine is derived from its immigrants. And kangaroo sausages are not really common. The most common sausages are beef.

Not to sound like some raging socialist but in the latest example of "customer gets screwed", the broadcast rights for UEFA competitions here in Cuntstralia have been bought by Stan Sport, meaning of course the CL will no longer be on Optus Sport.

On one hand, I shouldn't complain too much, because I'd always used a friend's spare Optus Sport account to watch CL, EL and EPL for free. My lucky case aside, it's obviously the principle which is bullshit. It's horrendously inconvenient for anyone to have to add yet another streaming service, simply to watch a competition on yet another fuckheaded platform. This shit is worse than cable TV ever was.

Oh, and the best part is, while Stan Sport is advertised as being "only" $10 per month, it turns out that a regular Stan subscription is a mandatory purchase in order to have access to Stan Sport. Or rather, Stan Sport is a paid add-on which is only available with an existing Stan subscription. So you have to pay $10/month to get Stan first, then pay another $10/month to unlock Stan Sport, obviously totaling $20 per month. Imagine paying $60 per month to watch some football on a screen

Uni, I did not know about the rights for the Champions League shifting from Optus (which I had due to my mobile plan) to Stan.

I'm really pissed because I thought I had all bases covered once I moved from Kayo to BeinSports for Serie A.

Are there live streams going on match day because I am reluctant to fork out another $20 for another sport subscription. Right now, it always feels like i am opening my wallet to pay for stuff.

I wanted to get your respective thoughts on the Adelaide United player that came out and said he is gay.

News sources have been saying how much of a big decision it was and some big name players plying their trade in Europe have been in contact with him.

Can I just ask why his sexuality is so important? What difference/benefit is there in announcing he is gay? And why don't straight players come out and say they are heterosexual?

I feel a player coming out and announcing their sexuality to the world serves no real purpose.
