Stoudemire and Carmelo are great offensively, but are also black holes. They'll get the ball and then hold it for far too long destroying any sort of offensive flow. One player in your starting lineup like that is OK, but 2 is not IMO.

As a big Knicks fan, after many disappointing and more disappointing seasons, I never expect too much from them but I have to say my general vibes regarding the upcoming campaign are quite good. However, the bolded part is just like I would describe the biggest problem of the current team - Melo and Stoudemire together is just too much. We'll see what Woodson (one of the reasons why I believe Knicks will have a decent season) figures out but this is the most obvious stumbling block for the team that indeed looks very promising on paper rollani.

Otherwise, not saying that Felton's return will be a certain success, I think you judge him little too harshly. Yeah the guy was just terrible last season, but his first stint with the Knicks was great and that was just two years ago. Also Felton is again in good shape, one of the main reasons for the failure at Portland was his weak physical condition (also had no chemistry with the coach McMillan). And above all he's just 28 years old player who two years ago showed that he can be a starting PG for the Knicks, where immense pressure is always present. To sum up, I'm sure Felton will make a huge improvement comparing to last season but at the same time I admit it's quite probable that he will not be as good as he was last time with Knicks(a lot of All-Star level performances), at least not straightaway from the start of the season.*


*All this Felton defending was probably more for NBA fans in general who says stuff like "that fat douche will be a certain flop, "with Felton Knicks will miss Lin every night"
