My worry here is mostly with Lautaro. If he was in form, we wouldn't even be having these conversations.

He was a sub in half the Copa games... He needs to show up.

Don't have one.
Not angry about the draw, it's a realistic result. Once again, some players showed why they are bench options and nothing more, but I also know it was a necessary evil tonight.

It's still early, so hopefully as the season progresses inzaghi will concentrate more and more on seria a, coz playing asllani and frattesi on regular as starters deep into the season will be suicide.

I imagine that negotiation will go something like:

Cairo: Ricci? 30m minimum.
Marotta: What if we throw in Asllani?
Cairo: 40m then.

how about asslani + arna + correa, great deal!!!

Poor all the way around, players and inzaghi. Happy to not lose, but still bitter because we should have won. No doubts about that. We were predictable and sloppy and in a game like this your opponent just needs one chance. Our goal finally came after good 1->2 link up play, which we should have been doing all game.

LIke I said before the game about over exerting, dimarco looks like he's got a cramp. Who knows if he'll play wednesday. They had to play like psychos just to tie and then what do you know, cramping because you are over exerting just to stay in the game. Never should have been in this position.

Motherfucker has barely developed in 2 years

You know what the trick is to youth development? Those guys need to show development. You don't get a free pass because your year of birth starts with a 2.

If he doesn't really up his game this season we need to move him on
The issue is two fold.

1) I’ve just never really seen it with Asllani. I think he would be good as a more advanced CM potentially if given time to develop there. However, as a regista he has never looked comfortable, not one game.

2) It’s hard to develop with limited playing time. He’s never really been trusted by Inzaghi. If we’re honest what non-starter has really developed under Inzaghi? Historically he hasn’t given enough time for that. That could change this year.

He's on Balond0r chase. Dude picks his fights now and you can call him Sir.

Watch him boss in Manchester and destroying Meelan under the World's eyes. French Lequipe journos are not watching Monza - Inter on a sunday night bro.

inzaghi 1st season: serie a - title challenge champions league - round of 16 exit
inzaghi 2nd season: serie a - 3rd place champions league - final
inzahgi 3rd season: serie a - title winners champions league - round of 16 exit
inzaghi 4th season: serie a - ??? champions league - ???

Rubbish take. He’s one of the best managers in the world. No one is perfect and mistakes are made occasionally. Let’s move on from this one.
With these players, we must easy win Scudeto and play semifinal CL. No excusses!

Exactly. The main difference between the City I saw this weekend and the Inter I saw today was that Halaand had a full summer off and has been punishing the whole league for it. He turned two half chances into goals.

Meanwhile Lautaro played until 2 weeks before the season started took a shortened vacation and still looks like he’s on the beach. In form Lautaro takes the early chance and the game is wide open after that.

To be honest I think the reality is that basically none of our players are CL SF quality. Most of the best players we have regularly disappear at the top level, and tk be honest very few of them have significant experience at that level. If we want to be a team who regularly challenges for the CL SF for example, I think there's maybe three or four players who make that side, and even then they'd likely be considered below average.

I know the lineup wasn't the top because of omissions like barella, hakan, even bastoni. But for me the thing is we always suffer against teams that just sit back. The more open our opponents, the easier it is for us.

Tonight for example monza (if you want to call it anti-football go ahead) sat and defended well. Teams like this don't care, go ahead and take the space on the outside and lob it in. Like we did with dimarco all night to no avail. We looked most dangerous when we did quick 1->2 passing head on and tried to infiltrate their back line. Lautaro, thuram, and fratessi missing sitters doesn't help either.

That being said we do also do this thing often were we're like: "ok we played poor last week? Let's go off tonight." So wednesday should be better. I think/hope.

shame to have lost two points but good to show the subs when they can’t start all the time.

Playing with Frattesi is like starting with 10 players

Thank God we did not lose because we did not deserve it but honestly we didn't deserve to win it either.

I know we are going to have a difficult week but we should have taken this match more seriously.
