If we are to get eliminated, i want us to lose in second leg. I won't be able to handle a repeat of 2003.

I barely recognize this team anymore. Don't know if our February's tough schedule and results exhausted us physically and mentally, but I don't see that desire to attack and win games in this team since that derby lose. Bastoni barely even get past the half line. He used to be one of our assets in attack.

I hope to see Correa and Gosens start the next match. Maybe a little change in the line-up makes the difference in the team's approach.

I mean, it's written in the stars we lose the second leg with a 1-1 scoreline

This team needs new ideas and fast. It says a lot when correa got injured as a sub struggling for time and could come back two months later as a starter.

Hakan probably our best midfielder again. What the fuck is going on with this team.

I dont see us getting top 4 playing like this. This is debacle. Completely different team that we saw at the end of last year. WTF happened?

Barella used to be on my no-sale list. Now I'm starting to revise that thought.

Its not about tactics or who plays.its about their mentality .. they have lost motivation and have no confidence at all..
Inzaghi cant seem to motivate them sooo i dnt expect any miralce , unless conte calls them and screams at them

Was thinking the very same thing during the match, what happened to Bastoni's forward runs?

Their main motivator (Conte) left the club and the squad was not properly reinforced.

The way I look at it, Inter are like an old house. The house had cracks and needed real work. In the summer, Marotta brought in a few reinforcements which was similar to filling the cracks, stripping the wallpaper and painting the house.

On the surface, the work done on the house over the summer looked great and their was alot of enthusiasm. The fans bought into the "renovations" in the first half of the season but then the cracks started to reappear and the house started to crumble, which is effectively what is happening to our season at this point in time.

Let's be honest, you can not win a Championship (or anything else for that matter) with a one dimensional squad: there are too many holes and shortcomings in the squad: continually having to play Dzeko who is 36 years old, relying on an aging and injury prone Alexis Sanchez, expecting Martinez to be our first striker, not adequately reinforcing the midfield with any creativity, primarily relying on destroyers like Vidal, Gagliardini and Vecino as substitutes (destroyers that mostly detrimentally effect our game), and having a scarecrow in goals.

When I think about the above shortcomings, I am honestly surprised we got this far before we started to fall apart. Last year's championship lulled the Zhang's into mistakenly thinking that we could largely continue with the squad and team we had and be competitive. Inzaghi is not Conte and this squad, in the absence of Conte who was a great motivator, has too many limitations in vital positions in comparison to last season. The Zhang's were sadly mistaken and the "cycle" that many of us thought had just started, will be fleeting, much like our winning the Treble and then disappearing into obscurity which is what is happening with every passing game. The only difference between 2010 will be the extent of the fall.

I do not expect anything from the remainder of this season because we are well and truly in decline.

This game was the perfect display of Italian football. Great examples all around.

Well let's be fair. Milan played a shit game too and they don't have Europe to worry about.

At 0-0 it's not like Milan has an away goal advantage over us. We can still go through if we pull our shit together next match.

The issue is we no longer believe in ourselves. Last year we pride ourselves in having the strongest attack where anyone could score, including Gagliardini. We are confident in turning a game around - even Ranocchia can score a bicycle kick. We don't need to be the best team in the world. We just need to believe in ourselves.

I know Stephen doesn't speak Italian but frankly most of our team understands English. It's about time he gives a prep talk in the training ground like a true leader. Fans, board members, and even the guy selling counterfeit scarfs outside the stadium - we need to get behind the team together
