Why are you guys worried? Our Maestro Marotta did say it's easier to replace a defender than a striker so surely he has something under his sleeve in the event that Skriniar leaves this January/summer.

Not True also. They wanted new era without Messi, everybody knows this.

Of course we don't have money, but you said even big clubs have to sell for a good offer, in fact they don't do it.

Sadly we are out from the big clubs list.
Barca didn't want to let messi go, that is pure nonsense. They agreed a new contract that they couldn't activate due to la liga financial restrictions.
They lost messi end of story.

Last I checked Barca managed to lose messi on a free...
Inter used to be as all those clubs mentioned. Sadly currently we don't have money unlike those above.
Caveat is that Messi was past his prime. Unlike this Skriniar who is leaving in his prime and for free.

Anyways, the only thing that should happen now is Marotta needs to explain what happened and why he wasn’t sold in the summer for a fee.

There are probably many reasons to leave the club from his perspective.

  • The trajectory of this club is going downward. No doubt about it. For each mercato, we are selling key players for profit and replacing them with free agents.
  • We have so many free agents in the club, that they are probably advising Skriniar to do what is best for him
  • he has won every trophy in Italy, there is just the champions league trophy left for him
  • money
This is correct and I understand his stance. No problem here. How PSG warned us, we will lose Skriniar for nothing in the summer, more than probably they also said him (or his agent) that a juicy bonus will wait for him, if he comes free.
2 things annoy me:

1. There were players in his situation who helped the club. Sadio Mane was one. He told Liverpool to sell him in his last year of his contract because he want lo leave. Bremer renew his contract with Torino even if he wanted to leave. If I am not wrong there was a similar rumour about SMS. They didn`t need to do this, but they try to be grateful to the clubs who nurtered them. Skriniar was nobody (do you remember Milano Skriniar?) before Inter. At the end of the day he gives no shit for Inter.

2. We need to let go this pussiness with the love between the player and the club. Skriniar, he bleeds nerazzurro, he shits nerazzurro and so on. Skriniar and nerazzurro, my ass!!! The contact between the club and the player is a transaction, not a relation. Simple as that! A player is just an employee, a asset on a spreasheet as @Universe said. And nothing more. Even if the player is Di Marco, Bastoni, Barella and so on.

Actually it’s more complicated than that if I remember correctly, Laporta used Messi for his campaign, promised to him new contract, even knowing no chance he could offered Messi that. Hence Messi had to go, both him and his father felt betrayed by Laporta.

Anyway, agree for other said that if Skriniar wants to go, he should publicly say it out, even does Bremer way, extend before moving. But it’s not obligated, he and Inter have contract, he has performed to a degree, then he’s free to go, that’s it. As a fan, I don’t care about his career after this.

Does inter actually asked Skriniar to help them though? Or do you mean Skriniar should automatically help them without being asked?
Maybe it's just simply because Inter are never asked him to do it but if they wanted to do like what Bremer do with Torino maybe they should asked him but they should asked him before last season end cause now it's to late

I for one fully understand why Skriniar wants te leave us for free.

Let’s face it, PSG is on a whole other level than us. You get paid more, get a big signing fee, win some trophies, play a significant role in the Champions League, play with top-players and live in Paris.

Every sane person would choose that. We are a sinking ship. Sadly. The only thing that bothers me is he is leaving for free. That’s on our management offcourse but it’s also in Skriniar himself. We don’t have to act like Skriniar isn’t thinking about himself only.

Just bench him. No use in utilizing him anymore.

Shame his Inter career ended like this

We are not in that position imo. We really need that CL place, so top-4 is neccesary. I would choose for another captain tho. I would like to see someone wearing the armband who i can identificatie with and who is (in my perception) still Intersita. Someone like Brozo, Barella, Bastoni.

Usually this takes place with a resignation
It’s just So obvious you are Anti Marotta (just like you was anti Conte, anti Lukaku and pro Icardi).

Come on, offcourse we can blame Bepe for this, but we don’t know the whole story (Although you do act like you do, and sat next to Bepe during the negotiations). And it’s not ONLY on him.

I mean this shit happens to any club in the world (Milan an Ajax too for example), and i didn’t see anyone resign for it.

Let me be clear, i don’t like how this club is handled the past 1,5 year neither. But we can’t only blame Bepe for that, although he did make some great mistakes.

- Failed to renew Perisic
- Failed to renew or sell Skriniar
- Failed to renew or sell de Vrij
- Failed to sign Bremer
- Failed to sign Dybala, instead taking Lukaku whose second spell at the club has so far been a catastrophe, doubly so when considering the opportunity cost of losing Dyabla
- Wasted an obscene amount on Correa and Gosens, two failed transfers
- and ongoing amidst all of this is his utterly uninspiring, unimaginative and unrewarding scouting and recruitment policy

No one is denying the situation created by Suning is extremely difficult, but isn't that why you hire the "best" directors and pay them industry-leading salaries? To navigate and lead the business through delicate periods? Instead he's fallen short at nearly every hurdle in the past 2 years. As far as I'm concerned Marotta has been an utter disaster recently and his recent market record has been alarming.

Marotta's like a famed and respected boxer whose had a long and highly successful career. However, in his last 5 fights he's suffered consecutive humiliating, devastating, first-round KO losses. Might be time to hang up the gloves mate.

Zhang should sack Marotta. He makes him look worse than he is, mismanaging the limited money the club has.

So he is our captain untill he leaves?LOL what a joke of a club we become.
he's probably just the captain until Brozovic returns... Either way, the armband should have been given to someone else anyway, no need for Skriniar to wear it... It will be interesting to see who has it vs Cremonese. Lautaro??

- Failed to replace Perisic

Fixed.

Letting Perisic go was never a mistake. Not only because he's having a very underwhelming season but also because when you need to cut wage bill the first who need to go are veterans.

For once we cut ties with a star player at the proper moment. The problem was failing to replace him, not letting him go.
