I'm asking again. If he felt disappointed with the club, and wanted a new challenge, why he didn't make it clear in the summer, when there is an offer for him and he could have enjoyed to his new challenge immediately?
The answer is, because P$G promised him a fat bonus if he signs as a free agent.
Thats not the answer.. The answer is he just want to say F*U to suning and inter management.. It wont hurt him a bit if he got an extra bonus though..
But.. I think i remember some news back then already say PSG furious inter reject their offer and they actually warned inter they will get Skriniar for free?

why have 60M, if u can have 0.
I answered this of Facebook, very simple question.
Sunning sells kitchen appliances, Steven thought tha Skriniar is a refrigerator and wanted to sell it at a good price, trade didn't go well and he shelfed the refrigerator.
Now he is extremely confused because refrigerator replies back, declines contract and even leaves for free.
For the whole Suning history they have never seen stock item speaking, let alone making his own decisions.

This is ridiculous, but if it's true, that shows how small person is Skriniar. Even though the true is much simple as he just wants to get more money.
But.. I think i remember some news back then already say PSG furious inter reject their offer and they actually warned inter they will get Skriniar for free?
Yes. There are definitely such news, which means that they had already contacted Skriniar and his agent most probably.

He's definitely been our best defender the last few seasons, but that's not saying much given how terrible our defence has been under Inzaghi.

We definitely need some $$ from his transfer.

What worries me more is, is he "good enough" to be a top 3 world class defender for PSG?
He's good, but PSG needs "the best from the best" to compete for CL...

He's a central defender. RCB was never his best position. We got to see how PSG is gonna utilize him.
WBs also play a crucial part at how SCBs perform, so even if he's implanted as RCB at PSG, Hakimi might be a better assist to him than what he has at Inter.

It is very easy to respond to the rumors that are out there, but no one knows exactly what happened last summer or the past few months. Personally, I think he just wants to take another step because he sees that Inter's path is going nowhere and because he can earn much, much more.

Most people here would change jobs for a few hundred dollars. And maybe something mentally snapped in him last summer and because of the results over the past few months. I am disappointed in the fact that his agent gives an interview during a match and that he himself does not appear in the media, but there may be reasons for that.

What I do not like is the fact that it is so easy to pretend that he does not care about the club and that he is a mediocre player. This man has always given everything for the club and even fired his agent in the previous negotiations. He has always represented Inter neatly and always fought for the shirt. But apparently you're only as good as your last game here and I don't like that. This guy is one of us and he has the right to make a choice only he can make. I hope he will stay and finish the season but I'm afraid yesterday was his last match. A goodbye he doesn't deserve but it sums up everything what's wrong with this club and the situation we're now in.

The comparisons with Zanetti make no sense. Zanetti is a unique person and someone who passes by once every 100 years.

Messi the GOAT, Neymar the Magician, and next legend Mbappe aren't enough to seal Champions League trophy?

Speaking to Italian news outlet Telenord, Skriniar’s agent Roberto Sistici also made clear that as far as he is concerned, the decision to put the player up for sale in the first place was the Nerazzurri’s.

Reports emerged last week that Skriniar has rejected Inter’s contract extension offer and is ready to join another club, and the player’s agent Sistici has not made any secret of this fact.

The agent not only noted that the player is planning for a future away from Inter, but also revealed part of the former Sampdoria defender’s motivation to look for a new challenge away from his current club.

Asked if there are negotiations ongoing with PSG, Sistici replied “Yes, as well as with other non-Italian clubs.”

As far as whether there’s a possibility of a new contract being agreed with the Nerazzurri, the agent replied that “At the moment there’s no such possibility.”

Anyone who knows Milan also knows he shows complete professionalism and loyalty, and that he’ll always do everything to honour the shirt of the club he plays for, a club that’s given him a lot and to which he gives his best, as he always has.”

Then there are certain situations that are out of our control that don’t make things easy for the player, and also prevent the right atmosphere of calmness for the team to do its best,” Sistici added.

The truth is that the decision to put Milan Skriniar up for sale was made by Inter last summer,” the agent noted, “obviously not by the player.”

We were informed of this, and then the negotiations broke down, which we were also informed of, once again a decision that obviously wasn’t up to us, and since then the player has honoured his contract with the utmost professionalism,” he said.
So, player and his agent were informed that there are some negotiations, that the negotiations broken down, but he still wanted to stay at Inter. Because if the decision to be sold is made by Inter and "obviously not by the player.”, which means for me that the player wants to stay.
Last fall we responded to all the meeting requests that the club made, and after a series of preliminary meetings we presented our financial request, and then subsequently the club presented us with an offer in November of 2022.”

“About a month later, before Christmas, I communicated to Inter the decision not to accept their offer, a decision that was reaffirmed at the beginning of January, before the Supercoppa final.”
So, they needed a almost two months to understand that Inter's offer is not good enough. That looks like wasting if time to me
“At this point I also informed Nerazzurri directors Marotta and Ausilio, who we told that we were free to listen to offers from other clubs,” he added.
Of course, delaying his answer in order to become January and start "officially" negotiating with other clubs
“Maybe it wasn’t strictly necessary to communicate, but it was the right way to proceed for both myself and the player, knowing the importance of being serious and transparent.”

But I want to reiterate, we have never declined any meetings with Inter,” Sistici was keen to stress
So, the good guy Skrinar was betrayed by Inter, despite that he wanted to stay, only to tell them before Christmas that he will actually leave :) What a touching story. He will brush his tears with some cash soon.

His agent came out with what appears to be a statement making it clear that the club supposedly put Skriniar up for sale in the summer which is why he wants to leave.

In the interview, the agent admitted to turning down the offer that was made in November 2022 and noted that Skriniar himself wanted a new challenge.

He was indeed put on the market. There's no doubt about that. The club put him on the market when Bastoni, who was also put on the market, refused to leave. Same way Dumfries is put on the market now and Hakimi was put on the market in 2021. And basically EVERY Inter player is on the market under Suning.

His agent words sum up perfectly what i had posted on this thread when news came out:

When you try to sell your best players every summer they will eventually reach a point where they've had enough and got tired of this circus and want out. Even those who profess their loyalty to the club. People want to feel appreciated, not be seen as solely an asset in a balance sheet.

We can argue till eternity whether management fucked up (they did) or Skriniar chose the money (he did and he had every right to look after his best interests) but the core of the problem is Suning who demand substantial profits from sales EVERY SUMMER. When the ownership considers players so expendable there will be no attachment left for the jersey. There's a reason players don't stick at selling clubs. And that's the reality for Inter right now.

It would be funny if the turning point for his decision to stay or not is Zhang’s “demanding money” in Christmas party 🤣

This is spot on. I still can't believe these fucks tried to sell bastoni.

This is our reality now. Only a matter of time before someone comes knocking for barella too. Already heard rumours Liverpool have looked at him.

Were in a sad sad reality.

To top it off, this is our lowest points tally at the half way mark of the season since the banter era.
