I thought he would be the next Zanetti but I was wrong. What a pity.

His agent is driving the bus. These speculation posts from expressions in photos are a bit silly.

We had money when Zanetti was here. Why would he stay here if some club could make his life even better with titles and more money?

You all have eyes, right? You all see how less competitive our team is becoming? Why sell Hakimi after one year? Why spend a part of Lukaku money on a dud like Correa? This is not an environment where you can thrive. Having no money I can understand, it happens, but then being stupid with the money we have is just mind numbing.

I will not be salty about Skriniar, at least not towards him. He has been a pro for us and I couldn't ask more from him.

To be competative is not everything in the world. Skrinar said that he is an Interista and he wants to stay at Inter. Now he has changed his mind. I've read that P$G offers him 9 mln net, which is 50% more than Inter's proposal (6mln). It is a big difference, but 6 mln still is a lot of money too. If he is really bounded to the club, he would have stayed. I don't buy some statements that he wanted to try something new. If that was the reason, he wouldn't have asked for a higher wage, and negotiating till the end. It's all about the money. I understand it, but I don't like it. Anyway I hope him being sold in January for some fee, but knowing how our management acts, it won't happen.

I am not saying he is right or wrong. But being Zanetti is totally different level of admiration of a fan to a player and Skriniar simply does not reach that, for me.

Please remember back Inter situation in the ~2000 and you would get my feeling. "Juventus was born for Serie A, Milan for C1 and Inter is for the other two laughing out loud", yeah, I started watching football with such bullshit roaming around and our capitano had the offer from freaking Madrid on the table.

You don't ask more from a pro like him, but satisfaction is subjective. Maybe I have had a different expectation; or, I dislike P$G and their FFP bullshit more than you. Well, this Skriniar is not the Skiniar that I have thought, simple as that.

It will be sad to see him walk, but this is all Zhang's doing, as they refuse to give up ownership. Someone, I think Di Marzio reported last year that there was an offer to take over the team (70/30 split), but they turned it down.

''Inter tried to sell him, so I am fine that he's not gonna renew.''... LOL, on the end of the day they didn't sell him, but fine, if he wants to go play in a retarded league, where he's gonna play a max of 8 important games per season, which will all be in the champions league, then so be it. I was all for him getting the Lautaro and Brozo money, but with the 8M, you know you won't get, as there is no money, you can go fuck yourself and jog around the French fields. Did Inter fuck this up, by not giving him an offer before? Yes. Can people still criticize Skriniar? Yes.... All i know is that our real captain actually stayed here when we were dog shit, fighting for a top 10 spot, when he could have gone to a much better league and a better club at the time... But that guy is now being shitted on, while people are praising this guy like he's something special. What a joke.

IIRC, there were reports saying that PSG will give Skriniar something like 12 million bonus if he joins them in the summer as a free agent.

Also, he will not be the first player to demonstrate his devotion to a club and later leaves.

I understand being upset over how things turned out but management is to blame here, not the player. Some comments are borderline vitriol and it's unfair, Skriniar was a model professional every time he wore our shirt. No such thing as unconditional love, it's a two way street and we turned our back on him first last year.

He could have been something special, but he just wasted it. Anyway, if he wanted to go in P$G so strong, he could have pushed for the summer move to happen. But he kept quiet instead, and it looked like the club is trying to ship him off by force. In reality, he wants more money, because I don't see that the club treated him unfair after that. They offered him a fair pay rise and the captaincy, which is the maximum in the current financial situation. It's all clear for me. The management has their fault, because they failed to seal a new deal earlier or to sell him in the summer, but Skriniar is not the innocent victim, which some people here trying to make it.

Or he has a more lucrative offer from PSG and is ready to move on.
He might have that but he wants to stay at Inter. Otherwise we wouldn't be following this drama. He would have signed the PSG deal already.

This is just negotiations. He wants the same what Brozovic got.

Zhang blocking Skriniar sale in the summer says it all about this situation. Ownership blocking stuff just complicates everything.

Well, despite hoping for the best, not surprising really. Twelve million quid, signing bonus if he waits til summer? Holy smokes!
Might as well bench him for a few matches, so we can get use to DDA Acerbi Bastoni for next season and look forward to signing Smalling. This one is on Stevie " laying in the sun waiting for the dragon to sing" Zhang.

that Smalling, Acerbi, Bastoni back line will be amazing next season.
Idk about the Steven being the main problem, as there were reports that he blocked the transfer, so who knows. All in all, we are fucked.

+1. The club has been heading downwards, while he can pocket more money and play with world class footballers.

I was hoping for the same, but perhaps he did sign? It`s just that he`s a pro and did not want to disclose before the end of the season?
Nasser Al-Fucker has warned us.

Sky: Skriniar has informed the club that at this moment he will not be signing the new contract proposal from Inter and will take some time to consider all the other options from different clubs.
Seems like a negotiation tactic, he is clearly waiting for an improved offer. Inter board have to move now.

Inter management needs to suck it up and increase the offer, otherwise it`s a disaster.

Next time don`t leave these important matters to the last minute, like Ivan said ;)

Don't know why people are so riled up about him wanting to go to PSG. He's been a complete profossional, respected the fans and the club and gave his all while being here. The club don't have the money and ambitions to satisfy him anymore, failed to renew or sell him when they still had the chance and now that ship is sailing.

I don't expect any player to be like Zanetti, Maldini, Puyol or Totti and stay loyal to his club till the end. All I expect them is being a professional and give their all. Kissing the badge, making gestures and nonsense promises like they'll be loyal to one club forever don't mean much to me. Maybe I gave a shit about these things like 10 years ago, but I find them irrelevant for years now.

Haven't you thought that he might be waiting some mutual agreement which says Inter has to improve the team next summer in order to him to stay?
Money is important but to be in a competitive team is more important, Skriniar is a top5 or top10 CB's in the world, perfectly normal that he demands more players in his level or Barella's.

Don't have one.

This sums it up nicely. We all know the negotiation tactics with most of these players, if they really want to stay, but want their paycheck to be bumped up, they will put some pressure to get what they want but at the end they accept the final offer from the club and sign the deal. Case in point most of the renewals we had with players like brozo, lautaro even handa.

But if they are undecided or really want to leave they will ask a crazy salary bump or try to sell a story like perisic last year when he said something along the lines of you don't negotiate with important players at the last minute, meanwhile he probably already had his suitcases ready full month prior to that.

I'm not saying management isn't at fault here or with perisic renewal, some steps were definitely mismanaged but in reality when a player really wants to stay he will stay, especially one that is familiar with our current financial situation.

And a final point which may rub some people the wrong way, there is no way in hell his performances on the pitch in the back three are worth 8 mil a year, our defense this year is a midtable at best, and as much as we shat on inzaghi for that with objective reason, our defensive players have to take responsibility as well.
