Come on, De Vrij had agreed a deal and was postponed all the time by Marotta and eventually the offer was rescinded in November 2021.

You cannot absolve Marotta of his blame.

Before Marotta and with shittier conditions (less revenue, no CL, higher debt ratio) we were rejecting bids for our best players. Now we're trying to offload them.

We have increased our wage budget significantly under Marotta and we still aren't dropping it to previous levels.
We've offered Mkhitaryan THIS SEASON a contract that would have been the second highest of the team in 2017.
We're paying a flopped Lukaku as much as 5 top 10 earners from that squad as well.

Don't give me that nonsense about Suning, I'm the first to call them out. But this isn't just on them. The bureaucracy part is, but it's not Suning who says who will get talked to for a new contract, they let the team (Marotta, Ausilio, Baccin and coach) to discuss who is valuable and needs to stick around and who isn't. All they care about is covering the losses incurred. It's up to management to decide how to do that.
We used to sell a bunch of kids in order to maintain whatever level we could to reach CL and stay there.

Now under Marotta we just look for the easy way out, we alienate our best players by showcasing them to agents and other teams, and we delay renewing deals for our starters unless they're making peanuts and get the risk of being sold on the cheap.
He's the one who blocked sales of players just because he wanted to make some moves that weren't really agreed upon (ie Milenkovic, Scamacca, Frattesi etc) and he's changed his mind so many times instead of sealing the deals and just figure the way to get rid of players that won't be missed, like Dumfries, De Vrij, Gagliardini and so on. And maybe not sign veterans on heavy contracts while at it. We had Dybala and Bremer locked, but figured we're gonna play mind games for no real reason and ended up with neither.

You cannot blame Suning because Marotta took 10 months to agree to Torino's terms and by that time Juventus swooped in after selling De Ligt. That's really poor management.

I don't understand why people keep running excuses for this management.

It's less so that people are excusing him and more so you have an agenda.

It's been reported by so many people close to inter how difficult the financial problems at inter are. Skriniars sale is what would unlock the money for bremer (reported by everyone) so obviously we didn't sell skriniar. Dybala was a case where the management sat down with the coach and together decided lukaku was a better option than dybala, then the only way to bring him was if Correa or dzeko left. Regardless for how you feel about marotta every penny counts for inter at this point. You cant renew players easily, does he shop players? Of course we need to make a profit which players would do that for us gags? Or our shit bench players? No starters bring the money. Everything falls back on sunning. Higher salary obviously we are in CL now and most of the players on large salaries Are signed on free transfers.

Timing is a bitch and you're being extremely selective with it. I'm talking about the whole scope.

So let's see.

Bremer <=> only became a thing like a week before he was sold by Torino. He was available for much cheaper in previous months and was eager to join us. We just didn't pull the trigger.

De Vrij sale. It was an option, we didn't pursue because we wanted more money.
Dumfries sale. It was an option, but we didn't place him in the market.

Dybala arrival was imminent, everything was agreed but we pulled the plug once Lukaku (via the Belgian NT) orchestrated a "cheap" loan. The very same loan that came with a fee that required a sale in order to bring Dybala as well, which was the plan. Skriniar's sale actually, since the rest (Bastoni, Barella or Lautaro) weren't leaving.
You can blame this on Zhang but Lukaku emerged as an option with these parameters 10 days before the market opened, Dybala was agreed with since before April...

I could go on, but you want to keep your selective information rather than see the whole picture and call me a person with an agenda for it. No hard feelings.

the whole scope has been more positive than negative, Conte has won us the scuedetto hakimi and lukaku were sold for massive profits. We lost our best player and the league mvp last season and replaced him with a 90 year old dzeko and still won a 2 trophies. there were some downs, perisic and correa (which I blame Inzaghi) but the overall scope has been Marotta and Ausillio making miracles out of our situation

Losing Skriniar like this is ameuter level dealing. These type of blunders, regardless of your ability or competence, diminish your reputation.

We dont really know about the Bremer thing, but if what i read on the media is correct that the only reason for Bremer isn't signing with us are because Zhang doesn't approve it yet because we have to sell a player plus it's a bad decision for me
I mean.. Why dont they just sign Bremer first and then sell Skriniar after? I mean.. If we already sign Bremer and we have to sell Skriniar inter could just sell him because at that point PSG are already asking for Skriniar and this whole mess wont happen..
If Marrota have to consult to Zhang every time he want to buy player for inter it will always be a mess.. Why dont Zhang just give Marotta target and let him do his job and see the result only is it a success or not
And why do Marotta wanted to work like that is beyond me..

For Skriniar it is obviously a blunder, why dont Inter just extend his contract last season when he already agree for a 5M / year and if inter wanted to sell him they could sell him with a better price because i heard that one of the reason PSG wont add more in transfer fee is because Skriniar are already in his last year of contract, just like what Torino do with Bremer, they extend his contract a year before its expired and sell him in the next transfer market

Just sell the mercanary... He has aldready said Yes to PSG and given us the finger, because money is more important than loyalty.

He can rot at a fraud team in a non-existing league for all I care

He wants to stay, it's the agent who's doing his stuff now. His task is to get the maximum contract from Inter. Leverage is the free agency next summer but it's limited because the client wants to stay.

Weird how everybody is intimate friends with Skriniar and can speak about his motivations.
Just my opinion on the matter.

If he wanted to leave for PSG, there wouldn't be negotiations between Inter and Skriniar anymore.

How do you know there are no negotiations? You're this intimate friend with Skriniar now?

Of course the negotiations are still going on.

In truth we had hoped to have completed the extension by now. You will understand however, I have been out of the office over Christmas / New Years. Lord Baccin was left in charge, seeing as he tried to book his holidays too late.
