PSG warned us tbf. We could've gotten ~€65m in the summer. The management always talks about the financial strain on the club and the importance of being shrewd in the market. How is losing a €65m player on a free shrewd business? I hate being an Inter fan

We're losing our captain for free but it's fine we gave twice his wages to the fucking belgian donkey on loan and no one said anything.

That loan signed our downfall and Skriniar is not even the only player whose contract we vitally need to renew.

Well you believe lukakus salary is what got us in this situation...
There is nothing else to say....
It's fine if you have nothing constructive to say, I'll wait for someone who understands the concept of a discussion with arguments.

Well I could say the same thing but you only want to bash lukaku we re paying 8.5 mio for lukaku and we needed a striker how much cheaper could we have gotten a quality striker? Also loaning him means we had no big initial cash outflow when compared to buying a player who comes with a transfer fee which is kind of important to us in our financial situation...... If you say but lukaku is injured thats just a fucken straw man argument made with the power of hindsight any fucken player we would have gotten could have gotten injured period plus lukaku was not injury prone prior to comming to us so there really was no indication that he would be out so long.
So if we would not have gone for lukaku who would we have signed for less then 8.5 mios who would have contributed more for example correa costs us more than fucken 10 mios a year, but sure it s lukakus 8.5 mio that broke our neck and why we are in such a shitty position.
Ofcourse the expenditure on lukaku alos is worse then our fucken main shirt sponsor simply not paying us...
I guess us missing that 20 some mio in revenue is not as bad as paying 8.5 mio for fucken Lukaku....

Bottom line the extra cost of us getting lukaku vs some other scrub (we needed a striker) is neglectable as it s probably no more than 2 to 3 mio if even.
But i m sure it s exactly that cost that put us over the line and put us in this dire financial situation.
Happy now?

Even before his injury, can't you see how renewing the contract of one our best players, most loyal element and one of our top 2-3 most valuable assets was absolutely more important thant getting a player on loan with monstruous wages whoever it is? The press and probably the management too citing some sort of salary cap as a reason for this negotiation taking so long while at the same time having in the club the highest paid player in the league is some bullshit.

It's for sure something that affects not only our ability to offer higher more adapted wages to our top players but also our ability to negotiate because as soon as you have one Lukaku that obliterates the wage structure it becomes mire difficult to convince other players to have reasonable salaries, especially if teams like PSG are lurking.

Thta being said, guven that Lukaku's contribution is 0, signing him temporarily for so much money makes even less sense now.
End of the season we're going to have to go on the market for a striker (again) and a CB that can potentially replace the best in the league.

Sorry bro but thats just not correct, while lukaku might be the highest paid player in the league he dos not that has the highest costs for us because of the growth decree and because of him not having a transfer fee as i said Correa is more expensive on our books than lukaku....
Offering skriniar 6.5 mio/ season will result in him costing us +/-13mio per season while lukaku is at 11...........

Also again we needed a striker last season and Skriniar is was stil here so no we needed a striker more last season than we needed to extend skriniar.
Your last point is pure hindsight at it again so prety much a moot point.
Last but not least Lukaku s salary is not on our book next year so if it was a decision lukaku vs skriniar we could still chose skriniar and not loan Lukaku again. Quite sure we could bridge the 4/5 months gap till season is over.

Last but not least that salary cap is installed for a good reason and it sure as shit aint Lukaku...

And again your blaming this all on us getting lukaku at a 11mio cost a season we lost fucking 25mio because we decided to go with a ponzi main sponsor...

In addition to all that we would not be able to match PSG any ways we simply cannot pay anybody 12 fucken mios pre tax...
Looking at our financials and knowing all the shit that went down this year even 6.5 mio per season is a stretch....

All of that being said go on and blame it all on lukaku but dont get mad when members just laugh at your take.....

edit: btw i fully agree that if it was a decision skriniar vs lukaku we should choose skriniar without hesitation but imho thats just not the case.

Salary caps exist for a reason, that's true, but you can be sure that whatever that cap is or is supposed to be if/when we decide to have a legit one Lukaku is too expensive for us and it has a direct impact on us being able to keep our best players or not. You can act butthuet because it involves your dear Lukaku but it's a fact.

Getting him financially affected our whole Summer mercato, is affecting the first half of our season and is also having its effect when discussing the salary of other players.

Correa might have be more expensive, but at least he is ours which means that at least when we manage to offload him we can try and get some of the investment back, Lukaku is not ours, is breaking the structure and if we ever want to buy him again, we'll need to pay Chelsea.

We are paying a loaned player a disgusting amount of money and we can't afford to renew our captain don't you see how f*cking dumb that is ?

Also I don't really give a damn if you "laugh", I created my account to share my opinion and talk to other inter fans, if people judging negatively the return of your king Lukaku makes you feel so bad that you have to reply that their take is laughable to discredit it, it sounds like a you problem.

I'll say what I think, you keep laughing.

if they do sign him just ask them for $10 million and take him in January. GTFO actually play Bastoni and stop killing his market value. Lets not lose 100-120 million

Agreed. It's not like we're gonna win the title or the CL. Let's make what we can. I think we can even get €20m for him.

We could sell Darmian 100M if we want.
Darmian has been renewed for a further two years because he is an absolutely indispensable substitute. That and the fact that he is a cheap veteran.

To be fair I think a lot of you are unnecessarily drama queening this whole situation. We’re probably gonna offer him a bit more than we initially planned, probably sprinkle some extra added performance-related bonuses on top, everyone staying happy, Skriniar staying here and remaining our undisputed leader. It’s not like his current situation is his last chance to leave to a top club and earn extra cash, he’s not even in his prime years as defender yet. I don’t see a lot of reasons for him to leave and i’m 100% positive the media is blowing this whole “Inter and Skriniar are in stalemate” situation out of proportion as they always do, because that’s what they have to do to generate traffic/sales/whatever.

I've almost totally discounted the hidden meanings of social media posts since this forum nearly went down in flames because Wanda once posted a picture of a zebra in an Instagram post, but Barbora posted this with the song "I Won't Let You Go To Paris" playing in the background.

Cringe, but this is all the hope we can cling to right now.
