Make it 6.5..... to lose a 40-50 million dollar player over .5 million over 3-4 years is insane. Also make the bonus we win the league, we win europa league, we win champions league. Very unlikely

Time to get serious about what the plan to renovate the defense is. Skriniar staying would be a complete miracle at this point.

We need to identify the targets now. Scalvini seems like one, but costly and not enough if we lose Skriniar and De Vrij. We'll probably go with another grandpa we can get on a free or on loan.. sad times.

So I can understand why entering into contract negotiations may reveal your hand to other clubs who are looking to attract your players, but it didn’t help any party by avoiding to have this conversation with Skriniar in the summer.

Having contract negotiations in the summer of 2022 would at least have allowed for a bigger transfer fee instead of this current situation.

If Skriniaar rejected a renewal in summer and club sold for 40-50 or even 35 its better than the likely 0-10million you may get now.

Current worse case scenario looks to be at play here, where player walks for free.

Yeah. They were negotiating with Brozovic till March. I think they will try to sell Skriniar in January.
