Some interesting points on here!
IMO i think we shd go for a CB (or 2!) with Serie A experience but not am convinced by Bijol.

Given the age range of these prospects, it's clear that they have room for profit (higher resale value).

I'm sure Oaktree will agree to invest in these kind of players, that impact less on the wage bill.

That's why those Latinos player need to be scouted earlier, the directors are being paid for that job.

Mastantuono has a lot of hype, probably would end up at City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, i dont think he is in our price range. Probably they are searching Bisseck type deals.

That's the thing. The narrative started by Gazzetta is now that no Bisseck/Palacio deals anymore, but 20-25M price range.

IF TRUE, this would elevate our position in the market to those more hyped young players who definitely cost like that. Thing is, we still need to be extra smart to do any business and refuse to go any bidding wars since that's where you really lose money. You can't start loving some prospect too much when you are in the market. Our acquisitions need to be mostly real hits or at hist decent hits. No Correa type of misses are acceptable.

According to Pedulla, Inter are following Bernabe and Nico Paz but there's nothing advanced so far.

My private email to Oaktree:

On a slightly more serious note - as I've written before, Paz would come with some complications given Madrid's very cheap buyback clause they have with him, I highly doubt he'll be sold directly from Como to his next club without Madrid either exercising their buyback and he stays or them re-selling him at a higher price. But he's super well rated, having a great first real season in a top league, and I'd be thrilled if we got him in here. (Hopefully this time it would be a Madrid academy product lasting longer than one season before being sold...)

Bernabé...I'd be happy with him too. Certainly no middle-man situation in his case, although he will have suitors I'm sure. Coincidental that Paz has a La Fábrica background and Bernabé a La Masia background.

Well, as I just wrote in the Pio thread, I hope they put their money where their mouth is then. Easy to talk this game and then dip out of the bidding once it gets "uncomfortable".

That being said, I'd hope the successes of Mkhitaryan and Acerbi provide plenty of proof that there's value in vets on short-term deals too. Arnautovic was a failure of a signing (and we all knew that) but Mkhi and Acerbi have just about been 10/10 returns, all things considered.

not great either.... we need to build a long term team to spend less in the long term. Than hey lets get a more expensive prospect to potentially sell in the future.

Getting another Lautaro who we can get close to a record sale is great after they win us stuff and we just can't afford salary they would demand. Tho if the idea is to get a Lautaro 2-3x your money then sell him to the EPL. Rinse and repeat ..... it's not fifa and that will not be possible to do

If Nico Paz is not good enough for current Real Madrid, why would be good enough for Inter?

Sometimes players fit another team more. Hakimi left Real. Samuel left Real. Cambiasso left Real. Sneijder left Real. All of them were standouts at Inter.

Current Real Madrid has enough attacking midfielders to not need Paz.
