Don't have one.
Was starter for most of the second half of last season. There is no evidence Denzel isn't starting cause of the contract.
Agree. I think in these last several months he legitimately surpassed dumfries in inzaghi eyes, regardless of contract issues. He is more intelligent in build up and makes fewer mistakes in defense, and at the same time, dumfries in recent times made a couple of major defensive slips. It's as simple as that.

Dumfries went on the bench because he got injured and went out for about a month and had difficulty finding the form after that. It wasn’t because of Darmien playing better, he got to play because almost everyone else got injured and lacked form once they returned.

Until that Injury Dumfries was our starter

Darmian also showed nothing so far that makes you think he be able to keep that spot.

That injury happened in December, its been 8 months. Denzel was the starter but its clear that in the last 8 months darmian has surpassed him as the starter.

We can argue whether darmian should be the starter but that doesn't change the fact that currently Limone sees him as the starter.

Yep I think Inzaghi likes that he’s better technically and he brings more balance. Especially with Barella, Dimarco and now Pavard bombing forward more often.

And most importantly, tactically aswell. I don't think any of other players in our team, matches Darmian's discipline though.

This is absolutely crazy. Shows what an absolutely incredible job management have done but also what an absolute disgrace our owners have been in recent years. This is also bearing in mind that we have been a selling club as well so the players we’ve spent big on only came in because we sold others

What clubs have spent to assemble their current squad

haha we have 0 money and wasted a ton on a 2nd goalie that we are not going to play and a 6th CB that is never going to play.

Our transfer window is try to get the best free players off contract and let our trash contracts expire.

depth wise we are fine. Anyone think we have a shot at champions league is crazy. Even dropping 100m that isn't happening.

we should have enough to win the league.

out
De Vrij - 7m gross
Correa -6.5 m gross
Arna -4.5 m gross
Radu -1.9m gross
Salcedo - .4m gross
total = 20.3 m

out depending on who we get and how much they want in wages
Acerbi (depends on if we get Tah) -2.8m gross
Dumfries ($0 transfer but he wants more than Dimarco) -3.2m

I think Acerbi is more likely than Dumfries to be shown the door so potential 23.1m wages open - what ever pay bump Dumfries gets.

hopefully that enough for Tah, Dumfries Renewal then go for Jonathan David. Other players are filled by youth spots. We also want a few prospects in the league give them that garbage goalie we got hustled by as bit payment

Yes we're getting quite a sizeable free space to our salary budget. GIVEN the budget remains the same is not reduced by the ownership. Also the amortization budget gets a bit of free room when Arnautovic and specially Correa leaves. If ownership just gives the management money to spend, they should be able to deliver a decent mercato. Even if we pay David 10M commission (agent, signing bonus) that's 2M annually for 5 year contract. 6M net salary (11M gross) will be tough to eat specially if we want to add a new CB but I think we can pull it off.

For CB, someone like Bijol maybe for a decent fee, although he's been more or less poor this season, definitely not great. Which should bring the fee and salary demand down a bit I guess, but then, is he good enough?

CB signing is gonna be crucial for our 2025/26 season. Marotta and Ausilio can't get it wrong.

This is probably the last season we can count on Acerbi as our starting cb. He's still class but he can't play as much as he has in the last 2 seasons.

Dont really like Bijol as a number one CCB. I'd rather just save money and play Bisseck there. And neither of whom I want as CCB1. Tah is great but he wont come here. Too many big name suitors.
