David is so young that Oaktree approves him for sure. Not sure though about that contract + commission package.

At least @Lui the Canadian disapproves his possible arrival strongly.

Johnathan David is pretty meh. His finishing needs work. I'm sure that's why he hasn't joined a big club yet.

For this Mercato I give the Mercato team a 6.5
We added depth and didn't lose anyone important but failed to improve the starting eleven.

The failure to address the rwb, the CCB and the fourth striker are the reasons why I won't go higher then 6.5

This mercato was probably the most uneventful ever since I've been following Inter. Don't mind this, was actually expecting it - the team is well built and depth was added.

My main issue is regarding how Inter struggles to offload the players that fail to contribute.

The fact that mercato closed and Correa, Salcedo, Radu and Arnautovic are still here is frustrating - to say the least.

Jonathan David would be awesome. Great fit for our system. Problem is he would demand a starting spot and he's too similar to Lautaro. I don't think they can play together. If he accepted a super sub role he would be perfect.

I don't like too much the mercato honestly. Zielinski and Taremi are great for free, but that is all. Martinez looks like not so good purchase for around 15mln. Palacio is still too young to contribute something important, and I won't be surprised if he doesn't even get full 90 playing minutes in total. The management failed to get rid of Correa and Arnautivic (or at least one of them), and to take a proper 4th striker. The whole saga with Dumfries is still ongoing, and I don't like the idea of Darmian as main WB for the entire season. It seems that Inzaghi prefers Augusto as a LCB, but we don't have a proper replacement of Dimarco except him.
Our midfield is our strongest department, and I hope to be able to carry the whole team throughout the season.

We have Lautaro and Taremi so I think we look for a different profile of striker. More similar to a Correa but one that’s actually good.

You mean the starting 11 that trashed Atalanta 4-0 clearly nothing wrong with it, let’s be realistic no team boost a starting 11 where all players are equally on same level as this isn’t FM. Having a few less than perfect is normal even for the better teams. For a Serie A team such is utterly unrealistic even more so with our budget. Dept was what realistically could be done and was what needed

We have also registered Salcedo to over 22 home-grown list

where is Radu at the list?!
He is excluded, it’s free game for Inter because his contract runs out in 10 months, meaning it makes no difference because he cannot ask for it’s termination of sporting reasons before one season has passed.

And Salcedo is included of exactly that reason and the HG rule, not including him would mean we lacked the HG player and he could get the contract annulled of sporting reasons at the end of the season. He likely only see CI

We could make a similar argument last summer when we had Arnautovic on a two-year contract and Sanchez on an expiring deal. It would make more sense to go for a Sanchez type of player. Still we went for Taremi because he was a great market opportunity.

For me if you can sign David, you do it. Young, quality forward with resale value.

No Asllani?
But we have Buchanan and Correa? What is this?

There's 16 players listed there, one's missing. I guess they system omitted him rather than us.

Under 22 don't need to be register for Serie A, that's why Asllani and Palacios are missing.

Yeah I hear you. The difference is that Arnautovic was not quality as a Lautaro back up. Taremi may prove to be.
