I'd definitely spend big for Scudetto race. Why is this game even played if not for the championship? This season we have a good chance because Juve is weak. Also their focus is on CL. We have a chance to overthrone them but thst requires spending some serious money.

- Home advantage is a myth in professional football. It's a thing (academically proven to a minor extent) only in modern stadiums, read EPL style ones, where the acoustics make the noise way louder. Fans are closer to the pitch and so on. The Meazza isn't one of those "intimidating" stadiums. We don't really have a home advantage anyway, this season we are way better when we are playing away.

- They didn't play at the same time, yet they did all play... all of Suarez, Griezmann, De Jong and Rakitic. Just combine their transfer fees and you'll get the caliber of players we're talking about, probably about 300M. At the same time we had NO adequate attacking substitute, if you don't count Politano who is probably on his way out for being useless and 17 year-old Esposito. We also had 4 of our 5 midfield starters (Asamoah - Sensi - Barella - Candreva) injured and had, once again, NO adequate midfield substitution for our midfield substitutions. Maybe Agoume should've been called, I don't know.

- They weren't playing good? Define "good". I think they played pretty damn good considering they beat us after all - we didn't score our chances and they create some and score some. Maybe they were shit but we were triple shit, it's subjective.

- Sure thing, that's where we agree. We should've beaten them but we couldn't. It's not like we didn't try or field the best possible team or slouched on the field. It is what it is - the current state of the team. We were at least as close as it gets. Unlike last year at least we gave it our all and didn't play for a draw.

Inter-Verona summit, from Amrabat to Rrahmani: the players discussed

Inter are looking to the future despite the recent elimination from the Champions League which comes with a loss of potential addition revenue, but with Serie A, the Europa League and Coppa Italia still in play, the nerazzurri want to be prepared.

This morning Inter's brass met with Hellas Verona president Maurizio Setti, the two clubs have a strong relationship as demonstrated by the Eddie Salcedo agreement. The nerazzurri are particularly interested in midfielder Sofyan Amrabat whom Verona will redeem from Brugge next summer for €3.5 million to then sell for a figure above €15 million. Napoli are also interested in Amrabat, who cannot be sold in January since he already appeared for two teams this season.

Inter are also monitoring two of Verona's defenders Mariah Kumbulla and especially Amir Rrahmani, who is seen as a player reminiscent of Milan Skriniar- he would be a target for next summer. Inter and Verona held preliminary talks today with an eye towards the future.

Sanchez is the "Politano replacement". We need to add a target man striker so that Conte can take Lukaku off time to time and have a real target man out there.

But two mids is a must, hopefully the management agrees.

I dont know how it can be more clear, but the reason we have shit players is because you cant sell shit players. Zhang's are not cheap at all, they want to win, they fully support Conte's plan, and the future looks bright if they stay the course. And as such, my ultimate fear is they give in to this scudetto dream, and make long term commitments to players who shouldn't have them. Buy young, develop, build a sustainable system, and pay no mind to the unrealistic expectations of immediate glory. We're simply not equipped.

I think the best we could do is De Paul and Giroud in the winter. And maybe we block Kulusevski for Summer.
We're not going to be able to get better players because their teams won't let them go.
De Paul could probably be a decent rotation player here (certainly a better option than Vecino) for years to come. Giroud would clearly be a vice-Lukaku for 1-2 seasons max.
