I still don't know what a "natural" position is for an arm in the eyes of a referee at the moment.

To me, that incident with Darmian isn't a penalty. There's no way to turn without the arms coming out. In addition, the ball isn't even going toward the goal. The problem is that there is a precedent in Italy with this new rule.

The rule is left that open to interpretation that it differs between countries. Considering this is a new rule, it's a bit of a clusterfuck.

The only league that applies different rules than the continental leagues is premier league. Maybe there that wouldn't be a penalty, everywhere else, including the CL/EL/ECL, Darmian's handball is a clear penalty.

Unless you play against a spanish/english team in some European competition where rules are always there to favour them.

The officials are taking abuse for that penalty decision but as soon as I saw the replay I thought it was one, not under any personal sense that it SHOULD be one, rather that's the sort of thing given all the time in Serie A - as has been mentioned Inter have benefitted from this on a number of occasions.

Cafe, this is your bias showing. If they scored from a corner like that, I would be fuming. Every little mistake like that can turn the tide, can add extra pressure. And we needed just that one corner to score.

Like I said, karma got us back, but then we scored again, so it's okay.

Leverkusen scored against us like that but we didn't make a big deal of it as Italian media does against us for Viola.

If it's a discussion about the dynamic and the distance between the header and the hand, I feel like it's definitely not crazy that the referee would give a penalty for that, because we got the same awarded on Gigot's handball, it was as close and he was turned around and falling so...

I mean, sometimes shit crosses from the angle of the box touch the defenders end just in front and end up being a penalty.
Don't get me wrong I think it's very harsh but we've been awarded some as well.

Pavard is probably going to have to suck it up and play some wingback. We might even see Matteo Cocchi.

Pretty sure Bisseck has played wing back more recently than Pavard, so he is the more likely choice. He played as RWB against Atletico last year in extra time.

Honestly Bisseck's pace and skillset make him a suitable WB. It's just how tall he is makes him more of a central defender. I expect him to be put at LWB and Pavard at RWB in an emergency.

He should never be playing as WB this season, it’s wrong to not have a backup to Dumfries. Darmian should only play at RCB if needed.

Can't blame a 35 years old playing the physically demanding position in football against Leao nonetheless. Consider this a dire call for the management to invest on the new RWB.
