I recall many people blaming him last year for passing the ball too much and don't shot enough.

Yes I was one of them! I liked and also disliked the shot! 😂 needs to grow a bit of reasonable selfishness if he wants to be considered a CF.

I mean I get the stupidity of running in circle of telling him to shoot more or pass more, but tbh I think it is not a black and white thing, that it is simply shot more and pass less or pass more and shot less; it is situational based; obviously in an identical situation it is very retarded of the fans, but I think better judgement is the key which is the more optimal choice; and on top of that, if he leans toward shoot more, then he really needs to sharpen his finishing and composures to justify a situation that for most players passing is better, but for him shooting is better, cause his finishing is just better.

Easy to think of is, I don't fans would tell Icardi to pass more LOL.

I personally have no preference nor did I blamed him last year for passing the ball too much; but I see so much more potential in Thuram.

You have to pass when it is needed and shoot when it is needed, correct decisions means a lot.
If you are an attacker and don't pass at all you will be criticized, If you don't shoot at all you also will be criticized, correct balance is everything.

No doubt he's an amazing player and he brought so much quality in our team, but my problem is that he is way too mody as a player. On his day, he's absolutely unstoppable, no matter who's he playing against, but once he's out of his touch, he can be frustrating to watch because of his nonchalance and lack of focus in the game. I wish he would play it simple more often.

I'm not completely against him pulling these slick touches or even try to do things on his own, but sometimes the team needs a breathe out of stress and we gotta hold the ball possession more than anything else, so this is a situation where his game is hitting us in the foot.

Lautaro being wasteful can also be frustrating, but at the same time you can never catch him being nonchalant or careless in term of performance or efforts.

Don't wanna sound negative or anything, because I truly appreciate Thuram's contributions, but he'd be 10x better as a player if he just quits pulling unnecessary stuff which complicates things, but rather focus on playing it simple when the team is in the urge of scoring or winning the match. These extraordinary stuff are completely fine once you're in a comfortable situation though.

I think he made massive improvement this year. First of all ,he is a striker, he must be selfish sometimes and still he is probably one of the most unselfish players.
He is running and pressing the defenders and I like it and yes, sometimes he takes the wrong decision (like shooting instead of passing vs Roma, or some fancy backheels that didn't work) but overall he is a beast and one of our best players so far this season.

I never said he needs to be less selfish, and I really have no problem with him losing chances every here and then. Of course as a striker he will lose chances, even these which can be crucial, but there is another part of his game which is frustrating at times, and I've already mentioned in my other post above.

Only posts negative shit

Don't like Thuram for whatever reason, fine. But at least wait until he isn't our top performer and top scorer so far this season before you start shitting on him.

He only pointed out that all of our attackers are quite flawed players, no matter how great they are at their best

Hope Marko buys him a dinner or something!

Show me a striker in the world that costs 60 million that isn’t flawed.

That’s how much we spent on all 5 of our strikers.

I'm pretty sure the whole forum writes what we want/hope our players to improve at, why make special exceptions for our best (in form) players?

At least as far passing goes, Thuram needs to be more focused

I want to see him become a bandiera. He gels well in our club and the fans love him.

I think it will be very hard to keep him here under current management parameters however. The massive plusvalenza, that will inevitably be afforded to us, will make it really hard to resist selling. And we would be more willing to part with him than Lautaro/ Barella/ Bastoni/ Dimarco. We shall see— I don’t see him asking for a move though.

Loved his assist to Mkhitaryan. Not to start an argument again, but this the difference between lackadaisical passing Thuram and a focused passing Thuram.

Shame Lautaro is so off right now.

Don't have one.
Most of those chances would be goals if he had pure striker instincts, which he still lacks. His early days winger habits are still in forefront when finishing and it shows. He thinks too much, dribbles unnecessarily, picks wrong types of shots. Needs to work on that... All of those actions leading to finishing a chance need to be quick and one movement only.

I for one highly doubt he will ever have ‘pure striker instinct’.

Yesterday was a really bad performance overall. Thuram is a good player, but will never be absolute worldclass i fear.

He could have scored at least two goals if he was more focused.

And still he has been probably our best player this season.
