Not gonna be mad at him for today. He came here for free and he is trying his best. He will score against Milan.

He was converted to a central forward, and everyone was aware that his finishing is not so good, so I cannot blame him.

At least he was trying to make an impact today, didn't work out but the effort was there.

I saw almost zero effort by Thuram tonight. Tough competition with Mkhi, on who was worse tonight. My guy has been ass lately, but he gets away with it.

He is so inconsistent. Even last season, he tends to pull an incredible performance, just to disappear for a certain period.

Such a moody player though. I'm not debating on his footballing ability. He's a baller on his day, but lack of continuity is quite frustrating, especially how we lack options in attack.

I can't stand nonchalance. Player can have a bad game, but effort has to be there. Mkhi can perform like shite, but he's still running, covering positions and his effort is obvious, while Thuram looks like he doesn't give a fuck about the outcome. Inzaghi needs to play Taremi way more, that way our starting duo in attack can feel the competition knocking.

I'll disagree, slightly ,Thuram gave effort, but he's inconsistent and can get frustrated and tail off. Maybe, I'm jaded after seeing Lukaku, Arnautovic and Correa be nonchalant almost from get go. The problem today, were the subs; neither Thuram nor Lautaro were subbed off for giving Taremi a go. Personally I'd have subbed Thuram and left Lautaro on.

As for Mkhitaryan, no one doubts his effort, but even being subbed off for Zielinski didn't change the outcome. I'm getting the feeling, in hindsight, that Inzaghi was happy playing for a draw or waiting on a miracle with Frattesi put on the pitch without changing the strikers.

Go back to playing in the trenches please.

I’m all seriousness. We don’t need Thuram to always be playing off the last shoulder and not involved in the game. We lose out on some of the best aspects of his game.

What’s been worrying for me this season isn’t just his attitude it’s his decision making. Especially against City he seemed to lack clear thought on what to do with the ball when he had it. Something that didn’t seem to be an issue last season. Maybe he’s impacted by the form of Lautaro I don’t know. Perhaps attitude drives decision making. Either way despite some early goals this season we need a more focused Thuram.

I have always been a bit concerned by our reliance on him without a back up as I feel like his jovial attitude to the type that could have a sophomore slump type of season once he’s “proven himself.” To be fair to
management they did want a legit back up in Gudmunsson we just couldn’t afford him because Correa and Arna wouldn’t leave.

This didn't age well.

He's not sharp enough when it comes to finishing, considering his salary. Hope he'll quickly improve on this essential aspect.

His biggest problem at Gladbach was inconsistency. He used to have a string of stinkers. He had a solid first season with us so no point crying about his overall performance yet.
Vs Milan he had a real stinker tho.

It just fucking sucks he's off at the same time as Lautaro. We're more sterile in offence than an 80 year old Robert De Niro.

A peculiar analogy, is ol' Bobby not still firing kids out the old pork sword?

Yeah he managed to get one past the goalie. Lautaro is still misfiring.

Inzaghi need to give this guy a special training similar to what Capello did to Ibra.

What special training did Capello provide for Ibra, and why does Inzaghi need to apply the same for Thuram?

When Ibrahimovic got to Juventus from Ajax he “beat the Ajax out of him.” Essentially he didn’t want him doing flicks and tricks and cute dribbles. He wanted him to learn to play with his back to goal so he could be more functional for the team and Italian football.

It’s essentially the same thing Conte did with Lukaku when he arrived at Inter.

Yes. IMO, Thuram is lacking the "selfishness" of a striker. He prefer to feed other first than himself.
When Lautaro had his dry spell, Thuram really need to show that he could be our main main striker.
