The biggest problem atm is actually his positioning in the box when we actually all move forward. Need to work on that.

I don't miss Lukaku, the places he won freekicks and he just needs to tune up with the teammates, I can tell he expected something different, like the crosses from Dumfries.
Already showing his good traits. Also so refreshing seeing someone else pressing with Lautaro up front, and it made hell of a difference, almost lead to 2 goals if we were a bit more lucky.

Exciting season.

I liked his afford and he played way better than in all those friendly games, but it was a difference as day and night when Arnautovic stepped on the field. Thuram was decent, but he has to get more involved up front as a striker. Still a decent performance, but he has to watch out, otherwise Arnautovic will be in the starting spot sooner than later

I don't know if I agree with that. Džeko is also a better finisher than Lukaku, but it was clear that Lukaku brought something else and was brought as a starter, while Džeko was meant to be 3rd choice. I don't want to have a 34 year old starting most games.

Arnautović playing as a starter here or there, sure, but mostly he should be our joker from the bench.

Arna worked because Thruam had already worn them thin. Arna is not suitable for a starter as he doesn’t have the Stamina for it. He is 20-25 game player or an impact sub at best. If we use him like Dzeko we are just going to see him getting worn out and tired halfway through the season or worse injured.

If Inzaghi has any sort of sense he will let Thuram be the starter as that would mean we won’t burn Arna out halfway through the season.

Needs a goal in the first few games. I don’t want it to become a thing that he doesn’t score. He is a good player though and you can tell he understands the game at a high level. He’ll be a big help to the team even when he doesn’t get on the stat sheet. He also will actually tackle and win a ball back, he doesn’t just press to look like he’s doing something (Lukaku).

I think there’s a lot of potential once he gets fully acclimated. I’d like to see him try to get in dangerous positions more and run beyond Lautaro at times.

I think the biggest room for improvement resides in his understanding with his teammates. Yesterday Barella, Dumfries, Dimarco kept ignoring him and his runs, cause they played together last year and were playing in auto mode. When the connection will be made he will be more dangerous.

We'll see how many goals this guy will score. After all, he's a striker and so far, for 5-6 games he hasn't scored a single one. Let that sink in.

Hmm, if we can get Champions League with him, I don’t mind our Havertz’s version.

This one definitely annoyed me a little bit. Dimarco taking his 8th shot of the game from outside the box instead of playing in Thuram in a great position.

The man is used to Dzeko give the man a break.

But yes he should obviously have passed it…

Also Dimarco has still lots to learn after all he is still only 24 years. I’m sure this poor decision making will improve over the next couple of seasons.

Pleasantly surprised by the relatively positive views of his first match. I was expecting some knee jerk negativity even though I thought he played really well and showed that he just needs some more reps at CF to do those small things that will put him in a better position in the box to receive the ball and knock it in.

FIF is really maturing!

Well, considering his record of scoring, many people set low expectation for him which is understandable.

If he keep possession and distribute ball well, it’s already an improvement from last year.
