Lol, there have been many expert lip readers. Everyone reads it rather differently. Some only hear terrorist, some mother...

But would anyone be out there defending Materazzi in case there would be Zidane saying the same thing and Materazzi doing the same thing what Zidane. I'm not saying that Zidane would've said it or something, but if there would've been Materazzi making the headbutt, everyone would be: "Idiot Materazzi. Disgrace to football!" They wouldn't give a **** about what Zidane said to him, he'd still be a moron. Zidane's popularity is playing too much. There would be no lipreaders trying to see what Zidane said to him. It would be like that, eventhough you'd say you'd attack Zidane the same way.

But in the end, it'd be better if Materazzi and Zizou would get together, talk their things, shake hands and apologise, both of them.

You only know what Materazzi is capable of on the field, not off it. By the latter, I am referring to his personality, his character, his viewpoint with regards to racism, nationalism, et al.

As such, you should not pretend to be a Marco-expert, at any rate.

Your perpetuated attacks on Materazzi can be construed as a form of slander. You are maligning his character on the basis of his on-field antics. You have simply conjectured what you want to believe.

Ciao,

MATERAZZI: "A BROTHER CALLED MIMMO"
Friday, 23 April 2004 15:13:35

Kallon's suspension ends today. How has he been during this period out of competitive action?
"I always say 'Mimmo' (Mohamed) Kallon is my black brother. I have been right behind him, just like he was with me when I was suspended after Inter v Siena. He once sent me a very nice text message saying he would always be close to me. I have always supported him and I replied to his message using the same words. I'd be pleased if he could be useful to the Inter cause on Sunday, his desire is great."

I have never heared anything wrong from Materazzi out of the pitch, never.

Take a look on Messina-Inter game again, look how he totaly supported Zoro. Him and Adriano.

No way those things come out from Inter.

Gotta disagree with Catanha here.

Luis, you are condemning Matrix guilty before he was even pronounced one. In every country in this world, the principle has always been "innocent until proven guilty" and thus far, there is no proof that Materazzi is racist.

Your innuendos that he's an "oxygen bandit", "popcorn carnt", etc etc are just that, innuendos without proof. Sure, Matrix has a history of violent on the pitch and so does Zidane but is there any record of Matrix being a racist? No, never.

You are just choosing to believe that he is one and please, do not force us to believe so until you have the proof. You quoted that English media article, but, while they claimed that Matrix insulted Zizou as a terrorist, this article claimed something else. Which the hell should we beleive then?

If you still insist to believe that a hack on the pitch is also violent off one, I can just simply accuse Heinze or Cufre or any of the Argentine players of being racists and called the Germans "Hitler" and that's what sparked the riot after that match.

I'm not saying that it is a fact that Matrix did not call Zidane a terrorist, etc. All I can say is, take off your I-hate-Matrix blinder and let's wait for awhile for both parties to come out with their words before making any judgment. :)

lol @ Catanha, you take different reports from "expert" lip-readers as a fact, please don't ridicule yourself.

If Matrix said all the sh*t reported by some "excellent" :)lol:) english media sources, he should've been talking for minutes. First they say terrorist, then muslim, sister, mother etc etc.

This is just the usual media bullshit trying to cover the fact that Zidane needs medical attention.

You believe what you want to believe, and you're happy cuz a part of the media is telling what you want to hear.

Marco Materazzi has dismissed claims that Zinedine Zidane turned and head-butted him after calling the French ace a “terrorist”.

The former Juventus playmaker ended his career in disgrace on Sunday when he reacted violently to something said by the Italian during the World Cup Final.

But Materazzi has distanced himself from claims that he threw the word “terrorist” at the 34-year-old.

“The whole world saw what happened on television,” the ex-Perugia man, who scored in the Final, stated.

“Terrorist? It’s not true, I did not call him a terrorist,” he added. “I’m ignorant, I don’t even know what the word means.”

Zidane has yet to reveal his version of events, but a host of media organisations all over the world have been employing lip-readers to shed light on what made Zizou lose control.

According to the BBC, Materazzi is alleged to have said: “I wish an ugly death to you and all your family. Go **** yourself.”

The Sun newspapers believes Materazzi’s insult was aimed at Zidane’s mother Milika, who is suffering with illness.

Their Italian lip-reader believes that the stopper called the No 10 a “son of a terrorist whore” before he was sent crashing to the ground by Zidane’s attack.

However, Materazzi’s agent has defended his client and insisted Zizou reacted to a jibe about the possibility of swapping shirts at the end of the game. “I’d rather take the shirt off your wife,” it’s claimed he stated.

So, we won't be getting anything believable about it, I guess. Looking at the last sentence.

We'll never know Khaled, that's my point. Both sides may have their reason to lie, and since no one else heard it, we can't be sure.

please dont speculate situations like that, when i know myself that i'd be proud of matrix's actions if the situation is reversed. this isn't a matter of which player did it to whom. i could't give a rats ass of which players were involved, its the fact that this should have never happened.

i do agree with Han and Tim, when they say you cant label matrix a deadbeat without knowing what he is really like.

but that can work the other way to. you guys cant just defend Matrix, whilst not knowing what its really like.

and Han not all countries employ the "innocent until proven guilty" principle

hi , do you think that Materazzi said something racist to zizou ? I dont think so !!!!! Inter had several muslim players , and arabs and i never heard that there was a problem between Materazzi and these players .
I think people are saying this to justify what zizou did , but the truth is whatever Marco told him , it was a very stupid reaction from zizou's part !!

punching the Siena player in the tunnel, I think that is good enough to know his behaviour off the pitch.

ps. zamat you're exactly right, Zidane needs medicial attention whereas Materazzi deserves another medal.

 ffs.

pps. I gave Khaled only one link, there are 100 other links about what Materazzi said, 99% of them saying that it involved a racial slur (something about terrorist in most of them).

ppps. I have admitted that I am quite indignant at this moment, and I'd rather believe the words of the devil himself ahead of Materazzi's.
He got the best player in modern history sent off in his last match

what a disgrace, what a clown, what a oxygen bandit, what a poor excuse for a human.

all World Cup, the message is clear, no racism, captains are reading statements before matches to get rid of racism, and this farking fool provokes the greatest of all time in a racist manner to get him sent off.

yes, please excuse my "pussiness", ffs....
how is it pussy if I do not stand for racism, I love my brutal defenders, it was the likes of Kohler, Ferri, Julio Cesar that made me love the game, but Materazzi is a hack, not a hardnut defender.

for the record, it does not surprise me that many people are defending Materazzi's actions, and when it is proven he racially insulted Zidane will continue to defend him, because these were the same people praising the Inter fans who threw banana peels at Dida, who made monkey noises against Zoro....nazis.

Those are some very strong words based on some hoax newspaper article that employed "expert" lip readers, as you would say for FFS gimme a break. The only two people I will believe in this instance are Zidane and Materazzi once they reveal what they said then I will bandy out the insults like you have.

Until then I will refuse to believe speculation and hurl mud at both an Inter player and forum memebers based on it. Curious though that you only seem to take into account Materazzi's violent past but for some reason are able to ignore the facts on Zidane and his known short temper.

Oh and for the record your last paragraph in that quote is some of the most absolute garbage I have ever read on this forum. The fact that you were able to liken those waiting to see all the facts before making a decision on the matter to nazis and racists is not only deeply disturbing but also hilariously short sighted.

Materazzi wouldn't say anything racist, if anything he'd say something stupid and Zidane got frustrated and headbutted him. If it was Materazzi that headbutted Zidane catanha would be saying "what kind of bastard uses violence to fight words"...etc etc

Bloody hell catanha, I agree with InterFan28…Your last paragraph is stinking with egotism, I’m sure whatever Materazzi said is as severe as you would like it to be Zidane wouldn’t have kept quiet...Yes they did exchange insults, it happens in football...Hell even if Matrix did call him an “Arab terrorist” he should know better than to headbutt someone! What kind of message is that?

"Whenever you are racially abused, go headbutt the *********!!!!"

If you watch the infamous replay, it shows Zidane not pleased with Materazzi pulling his jersey...Some words were exchanged and you know the rest, so consequently I support the “I’d rather take the shirt off your wife” ;) theory
