He hadn't played in a long time. I won't judge him harshly yet. But it's true we looked better offensively with Hakan but also more defensively weak. You gain something you lose something else

Giving him a pass tonight, due to the long lay-off. Interested to see how he performs for the rest of the season, especially with the rumors regarding his future.

Compared to Hakan, he is slow in possession and was too focused on sustaining possession during Udinese’s press rather than making a forward pass.

I've never seen him as a proper DLP tbh. He's not creative enough. He was always an energetic box-to-box player that we placed in front of the defence. It improves defence, but harms offence.

The new Barella/Hakan/Mkhi setup is much more offensive which has helped us in Europe, but its lack of long term defensive stability has also bit us in the ass in the league.

He will most likely start on the bench against Porto due to his lack of fitness and the form of Mkhi-Hakan-Barella and I think it's the right choice, for now.

I actually didn’t mind his first half performance. There’s a nice rhythm to his possession that Hakan doesn’t possess. He fell off in the 2nd half, but we should be looking to utilize their skills together. Hakan being more direct, and Brozovic more metronomic.

Mkhi was limping going off against Udinese. Brozo could start against Porto.

He’s had a long injury lay-off so I can’t be too critical of his performances. Which honestly haven’t been bad. Just not peak Brozo.

Most players need time to settle back after lengthy injuries, but his off-the-ball movement was off last night. In the past, that’s been reliably one his biggest strengths.

Will surely take him around a month to get that match sharpness back.

Also, he's indeed regressed a bit since signing that contract but it's natural at his age and not at worrying levels yet.

Still would entertain his move to Barca if he pushes for it, deserves to be done right by us.

I would honestly like to see Çalhanoğlu keep his place in the middle and Brozo played instead of Mkhitaryan.

It’s not like Miki’s being played in any offensive capacity anyway. He’s also shocking at finding space as a central midfielder; something Brozovic excels at.

I'd only sell for €40m. Shopping him around for ~€30m would be a disgrace, unless he himself wants to leave.

I understand the logic of wanting to sell him if a sale is absolutely necessary, but the fact these clubs are after him should tip you off that it’s a bad idea. Plus he’s a modern inter legend.

He came in as a sub in a CL KO game and our midfield instanty improved. If this isn't enough to show you how important Brozovic still is to the club, nothing else will.

But if it means we need to let Bastoni go (needs new contract) or we need to not sign Thuram/Lukaku/equivalent forward salary, then it's a bit more difficult discussion? Who do you pick?

But that's the thing. Would a Brozovic sale be enough to prevent another top player sale? Honestly i don't think so. How much could we realistically get from his sale? Around 20m? I doubt any club would spend more on Brozovic who turns 31 in November. Would it be enough to save Bastoni, Hakan, Barella and Lautaro? If it is by all means but i seriously doubt it.

At Brozovic age it's better to keep the player and get rewarded with performances on the pitch than sell him at a price far lower than his fair value. The only reason to sell Brozovic is if they believe his injury issues are going to be the norm and not the exception from now on.

Yes, the reward of playing well almost every time he's not on the pitch.

Brozo is finished as a player. He's a liability at this point.

Considering his falling fitness and form, we should listen to an attractive offer. He falls to the category of Nainggolan and Hazard, they were beasts before 30 years old despite of the reckless lifestyle because they have immense natural talents. Then age 30 knocks and they do not have physicality to sustain their form anymore. Brozovic must turn it around and prove he is not finished, else we really should sell him.

chalha is so much better in his position, the game is so much faster...he runs a lot but he knows to stop on the ball too much
