More RW as far I can remember. Still, he is most known for his work in the midfield, not AM

Correct me if I'm wrong. I think he used to play as AM at Inter for a while too. I'm not sure what season exactly was that
I recall that Spalletti tried him as AM for a while at the beginning. Not sure for the coaches before him. I remember that particular game, where he scored twice and I thought "Finally, Brozo has found his right spot". I was so wrong :D

That's it, you have a good memory

I really liked that squad, especially next season when we brought Rafinha as #10. I thought we were going to nail it, but he had to come back to Barca so it didn’t last long.

Too many great players we only had for one season. Like I said before, we know who to get, it's just we don't have the money to really acquire them

They can pick whoever they want if they have Declan Rice on the list

So, is there any player from this list except Brozovic that is worth 19m? Our management should be ashamed. Guy is among 12 best in the world. Still playing like a fucking boss.

We are still missing a calming player like him, but I'm glad we are winning without him. It was clear last season that we can be winners without him.

I think it clear now that after last season and how we started this season that we can be winners without Brozović. He was great, loved him, best memes ever, but it was time for him to leave. The only fucked thing is how little money we got for him, but that's kinda it. We dropped the wages, have Hakan and Asllani, good job by the management not panicking.

Yeah it’s true. Although we are a better overall team from a talent perspective with Brozo coming off the bench instead of Asllani, I’m not 100% sure we’re a better overall team with him in the squad.

As much as we love Brozo he was a very moody player. I think sometimes our Pazza attitude resonated from these guys who had perhaps been around Inter a little too long, who still remembered the banter era. Guys like Brozo, Handanovic and even Skriniar.

Other than Lautaro and De Vrij there’s nobody in this team that remembers a time before Conte. Even though you can argue the Spalletti days were the turning point where we left the banter era behind we were still scraping for 4th place on the final match days. That panic against Empoli is something I hope I never have to witness again as an Inter fan. And you could see that sometimes that mentality and fear would start to creep back in.

So far this year I haven’t seen any of that. It’s certainly partially because we are in our 3rd year with a very good coach. However, I also think it’s because we have a strong well balanced dressing room.

This is a good point, even if it's a very minor detail.

One example was the Benfica return leg last spring. It was 3-1 at Meazza and we managed to fuck it up to 3-3. And IMO at least partly thanks to lackadaisical play by the team, including Brozovic and his idgaf-attitude out there in the final moments.

Just a small example but to me emphasis the point made in the quoted post.

Don't have one.
Brozo laid back style of playing is what costs us the most imo, much more than mentality issues. He was great for us there is no denying that, he ran a marathon every single game, but the problem is he was always in the same speed.

Now compare that to how hakan plays that position, much more intelligently where he knows when to push the gas pedal, when to lay back, when to make slide tackle, defensively way more aware, and you get a more complete regista at least for the football we are playing under inzaghi.

If we had money, I would love for Brozo to stay. But at this point it would be as a bench option for Hakan, not as a starter. Because to bring winning games safely to the end, he was the right man for it...when he wasn't tired, because you could see on his face he couldn't wait for the frozen pizzas and cigs. So yeah, in the perfect world, Brozo as a bench option, great.

But seeing how we couldn't afford to pay him to sit on the bench (and he would want to play anyway), him leaving was the right thing.

Yeah i just highly doubt brozo would have been happy with a bench role and i doubt an unhappy brozo would have been much of a help

Just want to say he made it to the Fifa list, and we sold him for peanuts, sigh, not blaming anyone, but just feel sad for not even able to get more money from him.

It's hardly to blame someone as nobody offered even 20 mln for Brozovic, which is ridiculous imo.
The time to sell him was fine. Hakan already proved that he can fulfill his role. We got some profit and get rid of his huge salary.
