Dude,

Imagine someone who dribbles past several defenders in tight spaces like Maradona, Messi or Baggio.
Imagine someone with Ronaldinho's driblling skills.
Imagine someone with Totti's first touch.
Imagine someone with Romario's off the ball movement.
Imagine someone with Cristiano's first step explosiveness.

Now imagine all that in one person, running the show at Mbappe speed levels...

And then tell me with a straight face that he's not the video game character. Because this was Ronaldo at his peak.

Now imagine doing all of that in the best, most tactical, most defensive with the tightest spaces, toughest and most competitive league in the world where you had to face the best defenders and goalkeepers in history and compete with the best forwards and midfielders.

I would probably have a hard time finding someone who's both a football and hockey fan who watched both guys play, but I get heavy Mario Lemieux vibes when the topic of R9 comes up. Statistically, he's one of the greatest players ever despite the fact that his career is littered with "what if's" wrought by injuries. Traits-wise, he's very likely the most skilled player to ever play the game. (In this vein, I imagine Messi would be the equivalent of Gretzky, especially because I can see the cerebral aspects in both their games as well.)

I mean he did it all! I remember when I was telling myself that all that’s missing from R9 was for him to be a good free kick scorer and score goals with his head. And then in the space of a couple of games he did both beautifully and I was like that’s it: he’s the greatest striker I’ve ever seen.
