Nah, this would be the 2010/11 season if we beat Liverpool, our squad is not good enough for a long run in CL, just like in 2011 when Schalke made us look like wimps. If we go through we'll get a team that will probably demolish us in both games and we would also finish second in the league at best.Very simple. If we turn this around, this will be a treble season. If we crash out 1-0 or even tie 1-1, this is still acceptable. What I don’t wish to see is we take another 0-2 or 0-3. That wouldn’t do us any good cos it’s not like Suning would/could increase their spending for us anyway
In fairness, if we go through ahead of Liverpool, I wouldn't expect any team to demolish us. Maybe city, but Liverpool are one of the top teams in Europe so I'd fear no one of we overcame them.Nah, this would be the 2010/11 season if we beat Liverpool, our squad is not good enough for a long run in CL, just like in 2011 when Schalke made us look like wimps. That Napoli game was a friendly game and was played in Scotland.how many times Klopp lost at Anfield with opponent scoring at least 2 more goals than Liverpool?
Here are some stats:
LFC STATS - Liverpool FC - Jurgen Klopp All Matches
Liverpool FC website covering statistics for the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Europa League and much more.lfcstats.co.uk
I exported it to excel and it was:
1) 28.07.19 (match no 241) - Liverpool 0:3 Napoli
2) 25.11.20 (match no 318) - Liverpool 0:2 Atalanta
3) 07.02.21 (match no 336) - Liverpool 1:4 Manchester City
4) 20.02.21 (match no 339) - Liverpool 0:2 Everton
so just 4 times in 406 matches. It's interesting that it was twice against Italian sides. But yep, the task is impossible to achieve.
Did you get any tickets mate? Can't wait let's gooooooo!!!!
Would be cool if away goals still counted for anything. We don’t have the legs for 120’0-3 Napoli, 0-2 Atalanta, 1-3 Inter, make it happen you fuckers.
Ofc not. Who really plays his B team in the knock out stage of CL? I know we have very little chance to go through but we have to try and at least leave a good impression.General question, I saw this being debated on the Sempre Inter podcast this week.
Would you play the b-team for this match? Basically start Rano, Vecino, Gags, etc. and just rest our best 11 for Torino? Or would you go with the best line up and try and get a result here, even if that result is just a draw or something.
I personally think we have to play our best team. I think this team has shown their mentality is too fragile. Any loss and especially a shut out can start another slump. However if we got to Anfield and score then we are going to take a lot of confidence from that as long as we don’t get pummeled. Which to be fair can happen even if we play our best players, so I do see the other side of the coin.
Let me know your thoughts.
I would definitely play the best team. It's a CL KO game. You never know what can happen. An early Inter goal could change everything. But if around 60th minute score is still 0-0, or even worse, we're losing then we should start resting players.General question, I saw this being debated on the Sempre Inter podcast this week.
