Yes. Messi is fed up with the current leadership and won't get rid of that before next March so basically one season lost for him. Of course if they can convince him during this short pre-season. Anyway I doubt Ter Stegen has such reservations and anxieties as Messi does.

They are rumoring in Spain now that the rumors from yesterday about Messi's decision to leave are true.

Barcelona signed Koeman to be their (caretaker) coach. He signed 2-year contract but there's a clause he can be removed after the elections by the new regime (of course he's getting paid I assume). Elections will be in March.

All these means Messi would have to "waste" at least one season at Barcelona without any big changes as Bartomeu is not going to resign now and thus there won't be no early elections.

So, win-win solution would be loan with option to buy (Barca pay majority of his wages).

I like Messi as a player, but the cost and age are too much. What about team chemistry? Inter is developing an identity, would adding Messi, albeit a brillant player, enhance it or become pazza?
