Hope nothing serious with dimarco and barella

Great result , overall we dominated them
Can't overlook they had injury issues in defence, but that's the nature of the game.

Sent out a massive message to the other teams.

Just hope we are consistent and confident moving forward..

Lautoro desperately needs a goal (and some rest)
So did we. Missing both pavard & acerbi.

Lotito shockingly sacking Baroni tonight? :D
He'd be a fool to do it tbh. They're a bang average team and they're first in Europa League table and split 4th place in Serie A. They won't get any better, putting aside this result. Baroni makes them better than the sum of their parts.

Absolutely. Though my point was sarcastic, because as insulting it is, this defeat shouldn't get to their head if they wanna remain competitive in the upcoming matches. Lazio has been solid so far, and Baroni takes almost all the credit.

yeah it's just one game. baroni is a good coach. they just gotta keep doing what they are doing, i remember when we beat atalanta 7-1 and we still finished behind them in the table lmao

I meant to drop in here and worry about this matchup. Glad I forgot. :)

Also it's a good reminder I don't know shit.

It was obvious that Inzaghi didn't wanted to lose, but neither went full gas for a win. And regardless of that, goal was invalid because it came from an obvious offisde, but thats another story. This team can do wonders when going 100%, but sadly our coach has to improvise in different ways because our bench is just not good enough to replace properly starters.
It was a confirmed non offside call. Stop with the misinformation.

I haven't seen any confirmation of it, I would appreciate if you find it and share it here.

When it went to 5-0 I thought I would look up Lazio's records and discovered that 5-0 was their worst ever home defeat - to Fiorentina in the 1959-60 season. So it's quite an achievement to ultimately inflict the biggest-ever home defeat on an opponent in a century of competitive football.

Had you watched the first 30-40 minutes of this game and then gone out, you would not have believed the score when you read it later. I thought Lazio were much the better team for this period and Inter were lacking any fluency or coherence in their play. When they scored the penalty I thought great, that's something to hold onto for the second half and if we can grind out a single goal victory then that would be a good night's work.

But the first goal had a weird effect on Lazio and all belief seemed to drain out of them. Suddenly Inter were running through them at will as their midfield melted away and, credit to Inter, they sensed this and really stepped up a gear to chase a second rather than just sitting it out to half-time. The second-half was embarrassingly one-sided.

While there are always things to criticise about your team, one thing that we don't have to worry about is Inter's mental state. They might toil and make heavy weather of a lot of games, but they are mentally strong and to beat them a team really has to battle hard. Last night we saw in Lazio a team who were highly motivated on the back of an unlikely run of wins, but that success was built on nothing more than momentum as their team folded and lost all shape and purpose when the game went against them. I would contend this mental strength has been one of the biggest difference between us and our main rivals in recent years.

To score 6 goals from a 2.13 xG was great but isn't sustainable week in and week out. Having six different scorers can also be seen as a positive thing, but I was a bit disappointed with the strikers again. In what became an unusually open and one-sided game Lautaro did not have a chance of note and neither did Thuram until his late goal. We can admire the Frenchman for his determination to get something and his great workrate at least. We still really need him and Lautaro to improve though if we are going to have a good season.
