The goal was his usual header on a Calhanoglu corner kick, just so perfect. He had a few chances including that first one where Tatarusanu actually made an insane save but other than that so much fight, so much energy. He makes stopping the ball and turning around his defender look so easy, it's nuts.

I heard he only scores against small teams. 7th goal against Milan though.

Milan is a small team so.

Late response to @wera, but imagine comparing Lautaro to Giroud lmao.

Giroud has always been known to be very inconsistent, missed easy chances about 3x as much as Lautaro, and at his best never came close to Lautaro's best (Lautaro is 25 btw). It's only due to his longevity (aka revisionism) that people now tend to see him more positively.

Giroud is going to end up on my list next to Miroslav Klose as average to good strikers but extremely overrated thanks to longevity.

Glad that he's doing very well these days. I never had a doubt on his quality. I'm even more happier that he is being decisive for us. Despite of receiving so much hate and criticism which was a kind of unfair to me, he still stood professional and never flinched a bit his commitment towards the club.

The only thing he was lacking in the WC was the finishing which is obviously the most critical attribute as a striker. Everything else he did mostly superbly. His movement is a million times better than Alvarez but Alvarez was finishing his chances.
