Fade away in tough matches: typical Barella and entire midfield
Fail to deliver at expectation against a serious team: typical Inzaghi
Fail to keep a clean sheet against a serious team: typical Inter defence

...ect ect ect.

Horrific display really, one of those games where you think it's his 1st football game ever for his inability of controlling the ball, any ball.

You better make us forget about it soon Lauti, I know you can.

I think he has good shooting technique, especially if it's first time. Not world class technique, but he did score a few goals that nobody but Barella would score in our squad

Lautaro cannot flourish against teams that park the bus or really congest the space in front of the goal. That's not an excuse, he should do better.

Unless you are a Messi, you surely need some support from your teammates to unlock these tough defences. I mean, we had Alexis who is known to unlock defences, but it's not like he delivered to expectation, which goes to show that if there is lack of urgency and aggressiveness in that team, it's almost impossible.

I don't get where all this fuss towards Lautaro is coming from. He may not be the ideal striker but he is more than good enough for this team.

He doesn't need just support, he needs a world-class striker support to level out his inadequacies. He needs to have a lukaku numbers in the season we won a scuddetto type of support for us to go oh his salary and regularity of his contributions are adequate to fight for something serious. Otherwise, if you rely just on him to carry your season as a main striker you get these types of seasons we are having now, at least in terms of our performances in front of goal.

I don't know when is his next contract extension talk, but I would say right now he is at the absolute max. of where he needs to be when you compare his overall output as a striker and the money he earns. If they decide to give him more money I would be properly pissed, at that point it's much better to just sell him for big money and try to buy someone else. And even if that one dude we buy flops, I wouldn't be mad cos we gave lautaro more than enough chances to prove he can have a consistent season and so far he didn't have one, which speaks volumes.

It was his wife's birthday. If he went out partying with no special occasion sure we can be upset but he had a pretty valid reason.

With what money? If we sell him all we are gonna get is Moise kean
That's why i am against selling Lautaro. It's frustrating he's so inconsistent but if anyone believes we would be getting an upgrade he's in for a rude awakening. His replacement would be far worse.

I think the party story is a non-issue. He went out and had some drinks for his wife’s birthday, who gives a shit. I’m more concerned with his piss poor display beforehand. I know he’s not the “clinical” guy but for fucksake you can’t miss golden chance against Juve like he seems to every. time.

People tend to forget it's a teamsport and especially as an attacker you are dependent on your teammates. It is not an attacker who creates his own chances and we know he needs a lot of opportunities. It's not a clinical finisher like a Crespo or Vieri.

It's also not easy if you don't get enough balls and don't feel comfortable in the game to score your only chance right away. Although it may seem that way from the couch. Lautaro is the best we can get/have right now and in the near future.

What's the problem?
I personally find it disrespectful towards your team-mates, club and especially supporters to GO OUT and party (let alone share it on social media) after derby d`Italia in which again, he failed to score AND lost the match :palm:

INTER FURIOUS AFTER LAUTARO SEEN IN NIGHTCLUB FOLLOWING LOSS TO JUVENTUS
Lautaro Martinez celebrated his partner Agustina Gandolfo’s birthday in a nightclub in Milan following Inter’s loss to Juventus, angering the club.

The 25-year-old Argentinian forward played the full 90 minutes of the Derby d’Italia defeat on the weekend, failing to make the difference against the Bianconeri. Lautaro has looked a little inconsistent this season and has only netted seven goals in 19 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Lautaro celebrated Gandolfo’s birthday in a well-known nightclub in the Parco Sempione area of Milan, documenting the event with photos and videos posted to social media.

Inter were immediately irritated with the situation and a fine was instantly considered. The club feel that the 25-year-old’s actions were disrespectful and disappointing for his teammates.

Lautaro spoke with the Inter management at the training ground in Appiano yesterday and cleared the air, allowing everyone to focus on tonight’s game against Bologna.

Should fucking focus on football, or at least give the world that impression! Did not even bother to keep it private.

Pro footballers are not ordinary employees, these guys are payed millions to have their body and mind in optimal condition, every week not just when they don`t drink! One could expect some sacrificies from them, eh? That should be the life of an elite athlete.

Why would he deserve partying now? Is his team #1 in Serie A? Is he leading the Capocannoniere chart?

Win first, celebr8 later. Get your priorities str8 or get out of the club.

He was stupid to go viral with that. That was normal for him. But not for Marotta, Zanetti and co. All that viral posts of your life makes me vomit.Posting pictures of your kids to show whole world is so sickening to me. But thats today world.

He can party all he wants after the games. But its also expected to be criticized, especially after the game he and the whole team had.
He is also once again performing like shit, so no wonder there are people upset by this.

This isn't England guys, Lautaro fucked up.
He should know better. He'd not be doing this shit if he were still at Racing and lost to Independiente.

I don't post anything about my family on social media, but I don't see anything wrong with Lautaro celebrating his wife's birthday. Employees have their private life and as long as he's not doing anything harmful to the club, I don't fucking care.

Both the criticism and the fine are ridiculous. I'd rather see our management fine themselves for their incompetence.

Gazzetta reported there was no fines, Corriere and Tutto reported there were fines.

Was he drinking there and all that shit? Going to a club to celebrate wife's birthday is IMO not a BIG mistake, given he's going there just to be there with his wife at her big moment.

In general clubbing and having fun shit after derby loss is a fuckup for sure. You can't be private with these things these days and it has just bad optics.
