Lautaro has been best player lately and scored reguarly. Let's not act like his missed chances were that brutal. I mean, yes, good chances but not out of this world like you get shocked how it wasn't a goal.

That volley attempt wasn't even a great chance at all. In first half he should have done better, but that's just how it is. Football can be cruel. I wish I had more energy to make a compilation of incredible "critical" misses of world class strikers through years.

I even wrote that he's been very poor during that period of poor form, but these days he's so good. Missed chances aren't the end of the world. Like I said, frustration is understandable, but you guys are overreacting on his impact and ability as a player generally. He's an amazing player whom will remain in history of Inter.

I disagree those chances should be easy to convert by competent strikers, 90% of his chances were perfect for his strongest foot yet he failed. He's only useful in regular games but in big games he's a liability in front of the goal. Doesn't matter how hard he worked if he can't score we're losing and we lost.

We can't afford to have a such goal scorer. He's always missing for months for every single year. I never been so frustrated with him until now.

Agreed. He's too expensive for a player at his level I mean what he's good at? I rate his "work rate" and his pressing game but other than that he's pretty much average. He needs 15 chances to score in big games, he can't dribble, his aerial duel getting worse year by year probably getting fat, his penalties are funny, he's slow and he's weak mentally. Whenever things goes south for him, he always makes excuses and taunting his "haters" whenever he score against minors.

Yeah that too we need a Cruz, Flo or Solskjaer.

As a player, he is a perfect representation of our team in these last four years. When everything is going smoothly, like last season, he is in ballon d or contention alongside the whole team. When troubled times come and certain bumps on the road, he and the whole team immediately revert to subpar levels. The same can be said about our coaching staff as well.

There are still chances we can win it this year and this whole analysis ages like milk, but as it stands right now, i m not holding my breath.

His only goal in a big game this season was against Milan in the super friendly cup. 0 in big games in the league and CL. Kinda shameful tbh.

He's overpaid. On the back of last season it wasn't unreasonable but right now he's probably 50% higher than he should be.

Lautaro was always our second striker. For me he more than delivers. He is a 20+ g / season support striker. Only pure striker we had to pair him with was Lukaku. Even so with his lack of clinical finishing he is breaking goalscoring records for Inter. Not even gonna go into what he brings to the team.
The entitlement of some of the new Inter fans is straight up Merda and Gobbi level. Sad to see.

I expect him to be half of one of those players most games for his salary. He's not scored once in a meaningful environment against a big team this season. Right now he's forlan plus zarate, not any of Kane messi or haaland

Cmon now, if you ask for ten mil a year, and not only ask but demand (coz we did what he wanted not the other way around, I don't think his salary is even a middle ground of what was negotiated) you can bet your ass people should criticize you after performances like last night. Just because mngmt gave him the money it doesn't mean he is resolved from any kind of responsibility in that sense, quite the contrary, at least for me.

I said even before the season started, if you ask for that type of money, you better believe you have to raise your levels or at least stay on the level from the previous season. None of that happened.
