Only destination I can see for Lautaro is Arsenal tbh. And they probably won’t pay him 10m+

And Arsenal has to offload Jesus first, might ask Judas for that.

And Lautaro has to accept to move to freaking Arsenal of all teams in the world

Like I said before, he can fuck off but hopefully a decision can be made really soon before the good targets are gone. I don’t want a panic signing

How exactly am I wrong in saying that if money is your primary motivation, you should go to Saudi Arabia? You're making it sound like high-profile players like Cristiano, Neymar, Benzema, and Brozović aren't getting paid.

There's nothing to "ding dong" about.

In no reality can the clubs you mentioned come close to matching what the Saudis can offer him.
Already explained it in the post you are quoting.

I wont shit on the guy for asking for the money. I wont shit on the club for not giving him the money. It is what it is. Time to find a new (potential) star striker.

Let's wait a bit, this feels like a game between the agent and the club as @varmin suggested. Agent came out, pump the tires of his client just few days ago and now club fed some stuff to the selected journalists who then go out and spew their shit.

Everything Lautaro has said is so conflicting, when reading all these latest reports and comments that I wouldn't draw conclusions yet.

IF the demands of a HUGE salary requests are true, in a sense that there's no room for the negotiation, and actually not sure if there is any room for it anymore if the club is already at 10m€ including bonuses, then the decision needs to be made that he's on the market.

But I wouldn't yet trust these media reports. Could be just a game.

He is a great striker, but not the one that turns the match by himself to be making such claims. He is welcome to be sold at the right price. My only concern is letting the contract run out, which I don't think is in anyone's interest.

Always sell if someone has money put up in the first place on that level. It is far more important to have us healthy as a club in general, even though Lauti would be a big loss as a player and captain.

What we cannot afford is the Skriniar situation to happen again so my strong recommendation would be to set a deadline for this mercato.

It always starts like this and ends with the player leaving.

He may be our Captain but my feeling is that he is as good as gone unless he compromises on his wages.

This happened with the last Captain we had that was a striker. He was seeking an amount Inter could not afford. Of course, his situation was not helped by his wife and the fact that he alienated management and some of his teammates.

he's honestly hot on his way to doing the same

awkward timing from him with this whole Oaktree thing too but who knows that the media is spinning it as, what his agent is trying to do

You say this like Arsenal wasn't just one result away from winning the Premier League last year and has generally shown progress every year under Arteta. Lautaro would actually fill the one glaring hole they still have - lack of a proper #9 - although Lautaro's also unproven in Europe playing as a single striker so there's that.

Captain. The team's status is questionable with new ownership and his agent putting forward insane demands. Lautaro can easily stop this bullshit.

I indeed do think Lautaro is gone. The recent past learnt us that this much noise in the media isn’t a good sign, indeed the opposite.

But we also should question ourself if selling Lautaro for 150 mln or something is a bad thing? I love Lautaro but he still is inconsistent over the whole season. With that amount we can buy two of Openda, Sesko and Zirkzee for example.

Nobody is paying 32 gross salary and 150m at the same time. PSG 'd rather cash out for someone younger like Kvara and x10 his salary, still only half the cost of Lautaro.

Or Osimhen for much less. 120m release clause and 20m gross request 'only'.

We should learn from previous mistakes and sell before he walks for free.

The best replacement would be Zirkzee, he and Thuram would ruin the league, if we sell Lautaro for 100m+ and buy Zirkzee for 40m, maybe someone else in the deal as Marotta likes, it would be perfect. Santiago Gimenez is an expensive direct replacement, but I'm not sure if it's worth paying 60-70m for him. What do you think about it?
