No time to "wait". This summer is the only chance if we want good money.

Winter is the time for quick fix, teams dont have big budget.

Then next summer Lautaro has only one year contract left. Good luck...more than 50m is a surprise. Even Mbappe cant convince Real Madrid spending 100m on him but waiting for free.

Waiting is a terrible decision viewing from the club's angle. Contrary to Lautaro and his agent. We shouldnt let them play their game.

I didn’t say how long in “wait” and obviously different numbers from both sides, it also depends heavily on market.

So who would buy Lautaro for 110 million? All the top EPL clubs already have a main forward...

When I saw that pic posted by Lautaro, something sparked in my mind. It was like a last piece of the puzzle to get the full picture.
So, on this pic Lautaro is kissing the World Cup, and he clearly means, I'm a world champion.
Then , he is a current Italy champion.
He is the top goal scorer in the league
He was chosen as the MVP this season
His comments (or his agent, it doesn't matter) that he is on same level of Mbappe, Haaland etc.
All of those facts, combined together show that he really believes that he is one of the top forwards in the world presently, and he wants a salary corresponding to that.
I won't go in the debate, is he right or wrong about being a top top player, but in Inter's current state, we cannot afford to pay him a salary as world class superstar.
I hope Marotta won't go shopping him around, but a statement that Inter has his own limits, and if the player wants more, he is free to go, could trigger potential buyers.

Anyway, what do you all think Lautaro is contract worth?
EDIT: As for his transfer value, what are your thoughts?

10m salary, but sadly players do have power these days. He can play the waiting game and get a much bigger paycheck once he's out of contract for free.

Doenst Osimhen have a 120m release clause? I sure as hell wouldn't pay 100m for Lautaro if Osimhen is available for 20m more. I think our environment makes Lautaro better than he actually is, but I still rate the guy.

Its a buyers market atm. There's only a few clubs who could afford him salary and fee wise, but Inter is world known negotiation midget, meaning clubs will use our desperation against us, again. Lautaro would be easily 150M€ if there's 3 clubs desperate for a forward, but there's no such situation atm. Only PSG wants a new striker,Lewa stays at Barca. I could see 90M€ price transfer with bonuses( 75M€ base fee) , yes that sounds silly low, but watch this going to be a reality. If we keep him he'll be 50M€ next summer. Then all the giants would line up to buy him.

Don't have one.

What grinds my gears is we waited for him how many years to have a season he had this year (still nowhere near a season where you can call it a world-class with a 3-month drought and cl performances, but still great) and suddenly he's like "treat me like a king you peasants".

Speaking of today, PSG need a new striker and can splash 100+ millions for a player.
They apparently have offered 100m for Kvara, and it’s up to Napoli to accept or not per his agent.

Don’t PSG also have Gonçalo Ramos and Kolo Muani?

Only destination I can see for Lautaro is Arsenal tbh. And they probably won’t pay him 10m+

PSG should be able to buy him. I find this saga ridiculously funny especially when he started doing that self comparison with other world class strikers 🤣. You can tell he loves the smell of his own shit 😂

We keep repeating ourselves... But if money is the issue go to Saudi Arabia.
Ding dong, you're wrong. Saudi Arabia is losing players because some clubs don't actually have the money to pay full wages they have promised. Or are coerced into not being paid for half a season to not pay tax, just stupid on both sides, if he wants money, he'll go to Real, Barcelona or PSG.

More from Biasin:

Lautaro Martínez situation:Lautaro is a very strong player and has just been named MVP of Serie A 2023/34. Without many problems, he would be able to find a club to pay him his salary requests. That club CANNOT be #Inter. It’s not that #Inter does not want to, but they simply cannot afford the request. Lautaro’s agent is AWARE of this. There are 2 scenarios:

• Lautaro chooses to ‘give up’ the high salary he would earn elsewhere, be satisfied with the increase in salary #Inter can provide and continue to captain the club.
• OR Lautaro maintains his position, an unattainable salary for the club, and his renewal becomes impossible. Both situations are absolutely legitimate possibilities.

Also from Romano:

“It’s a situation that has been complicated long before the Oaktree developments made things get even slower. This didn’t help things, but the renewal has been slow for a long time.”

“Without going into the actual figures, Lautaro has made a very important salary request. This is part of the game- just as it is part of the game that #Inter has their own budget and cannot meet these kinds of requests.”

“Today, it is up to Lautaro and his agent to decide if they want to agree to #Inter’s offer, or another solution will have to be found.”

“There are no offers on the table for Lautaro so far. This doesn’t mean clubs aren’t interested, but that it’s very early in the market and in this saga. The priority of #Inter and Lautaro is still to talk and find a solution.”

I was always thinking that the captain armband was just to make him important. But seems like he don't really cares about beeing captain, like the other (cunt) of icardi was.. there is no respect honestly. One time it was a honour to be captain of this team. It's truly all about money now, everything else comes after.

How exactly am I wrong in saying that if money is your primary motivation, you should go to Saudi Arabia? You're making it sound like high-profile players like Cristiano, Neymar, Benzema, and Brozović aren't getting paid.

There's nothing to "ding dong" about.

In no reality can the clubs you mentioned come close to matching what the Saudis can offer him.

The club's statement via Biasin is good. Basically, they set an ultimatum to his Agent, and in the same time make Lautaro available on the market.
