Two bad shots against Milan. Hope it doesn't affect him

I still have to give this guy MAJOR props! Without that scorching hot form he had through 70% of the season, I don’t think we’d be winning this as comfortably as we did. Unfortunately, he hit the rough patch I was worried about at the end of this season but thankfully we had amassed enough points. Hope he can try and get some goals to push his tally up.

I believed that he finally became THE player, but this goalless run is worrying. I just want him to start scoring again, even if it's only 2 more goals until the end of the season. I'm glad Calhanoglu is our designated penalty shooter, one of the reasons why we won The Scudetto now and not in May =)

He is one of MVPs for sure but every season he has a goal drought. I think it has to do with mental issue, he is just not capable to do it for a longer period.

He stopped scoring 2 months ago. Last season there were 2 one-month breaks without a goal. However this time when he stopped scoring, we were practically champions already. He scored that great goal against Atalanta in that game-in-hand game when we smashed them and our lead was 12 points and Juve was in a massive downfall.

We didn't really even need his goals when his drought started, apart from CL (but that wasn't the focus anyway this season). Next season this needs to change by having a proper bench so that Lautaro doesn't have over 3k minutes played in mid-April.

I am not disappointed by Lautaro's end to the season. The fact that he has not consistently scored in the last couple of months does not in any way diminish his status or contribution this season. Lautaro has worked hard, possibly harder than any other player on the squad, with very little time for him to catch his breath and rest. I am not surprised that his goalscoring dropped off towards the end of the season given his rate of work and the amount of games he has played.

One thing that really stood out in the match against Milan was the way that he was not permitted to play. He was consistently and persistently fouled and was unable to establish any rhythm to his game. I lost count of the amount of times he was fouled and picked himself up off the ground. And honestly, I thought his marker should have been sent off for persistent fouls throughout the course of the 95 minutes.

Statistics are important in judging a striker's output, games played versus goals scored. Some might have doubts about Lautaro's consistency over the course of a season. But there are some things that cannot be measured. I thought Lauti put in a real Captain's performance yesterday and he has done so even when he has not been able to get on the score sheet. I am proud how he managed to work and emerged out of Icardi's shadow to be the player and leader he is today and I would not have it any other way.

And lastly, the season is not over yet. There is still time for him to hit the back of the net.

not scoring is problematic by all means,he missed 2 chances in CL (Critical),if we had this tight competition we should've fail. the team manged to score through midfielders and defense. having 2 crappy subs adds to this problem.

He really needs to become more clinical, it's vital especially in CL. Single moment creates history, one goal and you are champion, one miss and whole season is ruined.

I believe the he hasn't entered in his prime yet.

He also been ridiculously overused in the seasons he had a drought. we are hardly given him much of a rest, I think if we could get an actual reliable third attacking option and better depth around him, I’m pretty convinced it would go away. Additionally it didn’t exactly help that Thuram stopped feeding him and that both Miki and Hakan took a dip in form, meaning he also got noticeably less to work with in a time where he himself had a dip in form.

I'm not going to bitch too much about his goals drying up a bit recently. The guy was on an absolute tear for months and basically put the title discussion to bed while doing so. He arguably should have done much better in the CL but he wasn't the only one either.

Grande Toro!
He is doing great this season and actually getting better every season since he joined. Besides scoring which is of course the most important thing for a striker, he does a lot of chasing down defenders, contributing to build up, assists and above all for me, the grinta.
This latches the other players to this passion and I love to see it. For me, if you put your heart in and leave everything on the pitch you already great and Inter material, even when things won't go well and he is definitely this type of player.

I would also say his passing game is better.

NEW: Lautaro Martínez’s new contract with #Inter is CLOSE. An agreement until 2029 with a salary of around €9M/yr has practically been reached.

As far as remember, we had a wage ceiling so when we baught Lukaku, we could've gave him maximum 7.5m but apparently we are going break this limitation for Lauti.
I'm not saying he doesn't deserve that, which certainly he does, but if consider our financial situation which we are broke, we are not in a good place to pay such high salaries.
This also leads other players to ask a raise.
