Don't know how Lautaro didn't realize by now that he is a terrible diver and literally no ref gives him fouls for what he perceives is a foul, not only tonight but in the league as well. He should've played on on several occasions yet he just looked up the ref waiting to give him a foul.Yeah biggest gripe with him was that he's always looking for a foul on any contact, ref made it clear he wasn't giving any of that shit so he should have adjusted. And I liked how the ref reffed the game.
Agree with this commentLol
People making way bigger fuss out of that than it should be. Nothing guarantees a goal there if he attempts to pass to Brozovic. That's what Henry is claiming.
Talk more about your boy Lukaku missing yet another EMPTY NET.
What I was disappointed in Lautaro was the ref too much into his head like mentioned earlier. He didn't realize ref wasn't giving him FKs, he should have adjusted. Ref missed at least one clear FK (then compensated it in the next play in our end but anyway).
But Lautaro was there fighting very well on those long balls, but he lost maybe a bit too many balls for my liking.
He definitely improved a lot in the second half of the season tbf. Really took on some of the criticisms of him head on. I hope it continues into next season too.Not pissed at lauti but henry has a point in he should have passed there...
I dont think it would have been a sure goal but he should have passed...
Also seeing his reaction after the game think the dude will come back stronger, plus i ve been shitting on him for such decisions for a long time now but i really think they have gotten less and less.. Just sad that he did it again on th ebiggest stage
"At a tight angle, the World Cup-winning star( Yea right) was through on goal and had the chance to shoot, or the better option, play the ball across the box to two of his Inter teammates, his call to shoot straight at Ederson was slammed by Henry, who stated that ‘he now has to sleep on that one’, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+.
Inter fans had every right to be screaming at their TVs and shouting from the stands in anguish at that moment because, as Henry put it, Martinez decided ‘he had to score’ and ‘not Inter Milan had to score’.
Not long after, Rodri would write his name into the history books by becoming the first Man City player to score in a European Cup final and help Pep Guardiola’s score secure the Treble.
It was heartbreak for Inter, who will still be feeling the hurt of last night’s defeat, with Henry sharing his thoughts on that very costly moment from Martinez.
“I will go back to the one with Lautaro Martinez, I am sorry, you have to cross,” said Henry. “Not only one time, two times, three times, four times and five times. The only solution you have is to cross. It would have been a different game, now he has to sleep with that one.
“Akanji let the ball go thinking the goalkeeper was going to get it – If Martinez recomposed himself and you really take your time to see Brozovic at the top of the box.
“Lukaku is with Ruben Dias, so it’s difficult to play him. If he kept his composure, then he would have seen Brozovic and it’s a tap-in. It is a tap-in.
But he decided he had to score and not Inter Milan had to score. You don’t always have to score, the team has to score. Pep (Guardiola) was on his knees praying.
There was more options than passing the ball or hit the ball aimlessly in that situation but Lautaro panicked. At first I yelled at him for not passing the ball but Lulaku is surrounded by 3 or 4 City players, can't blame the Belgian too since he was alone in the box so moving away from them all was impossible.
Maybe pass it to the Inter guy just outside the box ? Don't know which player it was but I guess that was the better option.
