When it comes to the big stage, he struggles too much and doesn't impose himself enough. Really shame, he has everything to make the next step but maybe he isn't as cold blooded as we thought.

He’s poor but Argentina’s midfielders and Scaloni have more blame.
Btw never consider him cold blooded killer type of player.

Inter players having a nice world cup. :)
Still only halfway through the group stage but lets have a look:

- Lautaro: 2 offside goals in a loss followed by a no-show against Mexico
- de Vrij: can't get a start and currently 4th choice CB
- Dumfries: shit
- Brozovic: perhaps the only Inter player who had a half decent game
- Lukaku: permanently injured and shouldn't have even been called up
- Onana: a loss where he spent most of the game OUTSIDE his penalty box playing as a midfielder

Lautaro was surrounded by 7 Mexico defenders at all times in the box, it was really a badly managed game by Argentina and you cannot blame the sole striker for never getting the ball where he can do something with it.

Yeah, Lautaro's job was to basically just be there and tie defenders on him. You always gotta have someone there and Argentina first striker's job is that.

Against Poland, he missed that chance in the box but it was a bit too tight angle, it would have had to be a perfect shot to bury it. For example Alvarez had a bit better chance but even that one was hard to finish.

Unlucky for Toro was Alvarez scored that great goal, he's probably not gonna start a match anymore in this World Cup.

How can he score goals for Argentina if nobody passes the ball to him. They were ignoring him so much that he should now change his name to "Terms&Conditions" 😅

I thought he was decent. Better than almost everyone else on the first game and bad like everyone else bar Messi in the second.

Can't wait to watch him next to a fit Lukaku again.

I know this is blasphemy and I’m ready to get banned but maybe Lautaro is not good enough to start for Argentina

Alvarez is good enough for Argentina. Lautaro WAS good for Argentina, but the pressure got to him
