This kid needs playing time to develop, not rotting on the bench of a top club.
Not necessarily: camavinga, tonali, foden, musiala, valverde, sometimes its better to ease them in to acclimatize. Conversely we have kulusevski and nkunku. so it could go either way. hopefully we continue with the 5 substitues rule next season, plus involvement in 5 comps, world cup year, IMO Asllani will definitely get good minutes.

This deal just seems weird to me. We must have seen something really special in him to drop this type of money after essentially 6 months of regular game time in Serie A. Ricci was starting over him and is younger. He also went for less money than we’re being linked to Asllani for. I’ve also been more impressed with the look of Ricci as an athlete.

One thing I will say is he probably looks a more natural fit in front of defense to me than Ricci. I felt Ricci could be an interesting Hakan back up. I guess we’ll see how it goes.

Obv Interisti havent watched Empoli matches since we are all too busy in our lives to watch more than 2 matches per week ( my case) , but I bet we are looking at him because of similarity with Brozovic, comfortable on the ball and under pressure, very good passing skills and as a 20 year old bloke he can be even better in 2-3 years time. Remember when we got Brozo, he was a 22 years old frozen pizza fan from Dinamo Zagreb.

My only concern is Asllani needs playing time and its hard to get it as a Brozo sub. But he can drop in for Barella too .

Seems like a done deal. Also Romano is reporting that Inter is very close to strike a deal a few minutes ago.

I’ve never watched a game of this guy. So really don’t know what to expect. But it’s nice we’re buying some unknown talent for once.

I think Inzaghi played the starting midfield trio so much because he had no one on the bench worth considering except Vidal’s decaying corpse. There were definite times where Barella in particular desperately needed some rest. Or where Hakan was just not having an impact.

If Serie A keeps the 5 subs rule, he’ll get some valuable time here and there.

Exactly. His play style is a carbon copy of Brozovic. That was probably an important factor in choosing to go with him.

The 5 sub rule is 99% going to be adopted by IFAB . So you guys can stop worrying about it.
Epl is also going back to it from next season.

Asllani is very promising player! He and Bajrami was awsome to watch, both have good technique and good passing ability. Bajrami of cours more dribbler and attacking player. Would be great if we could both Asllani for Brozo backup and Bajrami Barella/Hakan backup (y)

I don't recall watching much of Asllani. But Bajrami oozes of talent. If he's close to that level he'll be a good signing provided that he adjusts to our demands.

Haven't followed Asllani at all but yesterday decided to watch that Albania Israel match a bit. Asllani played the regista role in 352 and he was indeed the defensive guy there, always looking for his position on the pitch. Just like Brozovic is doing for us.

Let's hope our guys have seen the potential for that ability to handle the role.
