He was bought for 3m by Genoa and now valued at 8m.

Now we will see 2 sides to this thread, one side will complain about Branca paying too much and the other side will start saying lets wait for him to play.

But no one will mention this: when Bbilan do such deals with Genoa, its considered an accounting adjustment. When Inter do such deals its MM who is stupid.

Im pretty sure Gasp has requested this dude and I'd rather pay 8m for someone who is playing in this league and wont take a bomb of a wage especially when we dont have a lot of easy options to sign in the midfield.

And I believe Kucka was linked to Inter before Gasp was even rumored to Inter. I haven't watched Genoa that much to rate Kucka. What I've understood is that he is a good work-horse. Hopefully he is skilled enough to add something to our midfield.

Though it's rumored we would buy half of Kucka and let him stay at Genoa for one season. Then we have one full season to look how he will do and develop.

Well, we can agree on a higher price. For example, they bought him for 3m, value now 5m.. we offer 7-8m. Something like that. It was how we ended buying Naga, right? from 4 to 6.5 mil?

Probably not good enough deal for Genoa. After all, there are two sides to a negotiation.

I still think that if he isn't good enough for us now, he will not be good enough in a years time. Our midfield should be strengthened in one year, and our current coach - who is probably the biggest fan of Kucka - will possibly be gone by then. Quite good workhorse is NOT very high on our priority list. If, then again, our management considers him to be starting material, we should take him now.

Which is fair enough. He took the gamble...and the player is now tipped for a bright Serie A future. He is built for Serie A. Probably wouldn't do much in UCL...but still good for Serie A.
