The vibe I get is he is a good stopper, have the athleticism, aggression, and the determination of the defensive actions (winning the position for the first touch interception, not letting people get pass him) which shows in the stats that was posted by some other members; the thing that I might worry is the same thing that made Juan Jesus bad, like the position and the decision to rush out of position, but the difference is Juan Jesus came straight from Brazil and Cabal has 2 years of Serie A experience under his belt, which should help on the potential concerns.


TLDR: He seems to have the same strength as Juan Jesus and Murillo when they joined us back then, the 2 years of Serie A exp might give him a better foundation to overcome/not have their flaws.

Rivas played like 4-6 games for River. Everyone was shocked he got to River literally no one had ever seen him play in Colombia or knew who he was then he instantly went to inter. Someone sold their soul to get him those moves or he had the worlds greatest agent

Cabal got playing time at the best team in Colombia that has the best youth system. I don’t think he played on our U20. He was loaned to Italy after a good half season which isn’t uncommon

Was quiet till the 2nd half of last season. Again interesting prospect and good for a bottom feeder of the league but does it make sense to drop 10m on a youth player who has 6 months in him + Bastoni sub. We can hope the world for him but he is Bastoni sub. So never going to start

For 10m how expensive is Lucumi of Bologna a way way way way better player and complete. If it’s 15 for Lucumi or 10 for Cabal that’s a no brainer. 10m could probably get us Cuesta or Davison who started for us during copa America. Cuesta is the same age as Cabal and plays 3 in the back at his club. This kid has a real good agent

I mean I hope if we get him he is becomes world class and a 6’2 better version of cordoba. I just don’t see it happening.

Suddenly, Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia both report that Juve have intervened and Cabal’s agent is in Turin to speak directly to the Bianconeri.

They maintain that Juve are offering closer to €12m including add-ons and have agreed personal terms with the player too.

How can something like this happen? Just because they pay more wage/singing on fee/agent commission? Or all of these?

I mean Inter reportedly agreed personal terms with Cabal. This seems like a character test. If the deal fails because of the money, they can have him.

If the deal fails because they were waiting for the Oaktree greenlight (read that representatives were at the Inter HQ yesterday), then it's unnecessary bureaucracy and we have a problem.
