15,5m€ transfer means we 'certainly believe in him'? Lets not pretend he is some hidden gem please.

Seems like a rather desperate move since we couldnt get Beto for the few scraps of cash that we have.

There is no way we would be signing him if we had any money.

He comes across as a really down-to-earth and likeable guy from his interview. Assuming that's his real self, he should get on quite well with Sommer. Same vibe and hopefully they could both learn from each other.

Think we should have just gotten another free agent the tired for the Italy gk when his contract is over in 2025 :) for free from psg

Certainly, the club believes in this deal. 15.5m is the largest amount we spent on GK since Toldo (26.5m) in 01/02.
Technically, there is Handanovic in the 12/13 season for 15m, but we also sent Faraoni to Udinese for 8m.

I had posted my disapproval regarding this transfer deal in his rumours thread. I don't think I need to protest this deal any further.

There's no use in arguing whether he's actually the right profile anymore, he already here, signed.

So, instead of keep complaining that he is not the right profile, I'd rather support him and hope that he grows and proves us wrong.
