We have practically won the match, he is playing without any pressure, he gets a perfect 1v1 situation with a goalkeeper, naturally fucks up and gives the worst possible facial expression that says "yeah of course I missed, I knew I was gonna miss". He has no determination or confidence.
We had some useless strikers like Eder and such but problem with Correa is that we are counting on him to play regularly. At this point he is just a placeholder on the pitch allowing others to rest up.

Playing with Lukaku might be good for him since Lukaku opens up spaces that Lautaro and Dzeko just do not.

He is the typical example of jack of all trades as he offers the illusion that can do everything but actually does nothing properly.
He shows glimpse of technical ability in the 1to1 that no one else in the team has , he shows glimpse of good shooting out of the box , he is tall and well built from physical point of view to sustain defender marking , he is fast when he decides to run and good vision when he decides to pass. BUT he fails to do any of the above in an acceptable frequency hence ending up disappointing in all of them.

I believe that he lacks the mental attributes to ever become a top tier player. The fact that he gets called up frequently from the NT is a mystery to me and probably related only to the fact that in NT level you tend to rely on a core group of players and i guess the Correa and the other guys up front there have a good relation

I think it's time to accept this guy has been a mistake and offload him next summer, even if it's just a loan. No point keeping him in the squad.

INTER HOPE CORREA CAN RAISE HIS STOCK AT WORLD CUP​

Joaquin Correa has struggled to impress at Inter since his arrival from Lazio last year and the club are hoping to see him shine at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

The 28-year-old Argentinian forward followed Simone Inzaghi from Rome to the Lombardy capital last summer, joining on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, a deal worth over €30m. Since his arrival, Correa has scored eight goals in 50 appearances for Inter.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.it, Inter were open to selling Correa in the summer but did not receive any convincing offers, forcing them to retain the 28-year-old. He’s still struggling to show his best for the Nerazzurri and hasn’t found the back of the net since August.

Although his spot in the Argentina squad isn’t guaranteed, Inter are hoping that Correa will have the chance to show his abilities on the world stage at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, something that could generate market interest or at least increase the 28-year-old’s confidence.

In my books that ship has sailed, he is what he is. Super offensive, soft player who shouldn't have a spot at Inter team.

Such a shame, because he isnt as bad as Gagliardini, Dalbert and some other terrible players we have had over the past few years, but the thing is that Correa is a fucking moron. He refuses to push himself.
