Wow, you must missed this entire season...

- - - Updated - - -

You guys who follow Inter from 1990,
I have one question for you guys.
Do you feel the same thing when our legend Giuseppe Bergomi was retiring?
I don't know until now why #2 jersey still on there and wore by the likes of Jono...
and today if they retire #4, that's really insult Bergomi, but from the bottom of my heart, I want those two numbers retired.

don't worry, we will retire #2 after jono retire with us :troll:

It really bothers me that there has been nothing definitive on Inter's official website about JZ's retirement. Not even promoting the last home game as an opportunity to see off JZ has me puzzled.

Xavi payed JZ a visit at La Pinetina and gave him his jersey and honoured his long carrier at Inter

This is what he said:"Javier, with all my love and my admiration. Congratulations on your great career. A big hug, Xavi. "

Well this was unexpected...he has some class afterall.

There is something in my mind saying like this rumor about JZ retirement is to drive fans to stadium on last home game.

Omg guys, he said in the last interview (2 days ago) that is official! Why you believe that he will not at the end?
http://www.fcinternews.it/in-primo-...to-a-il-momento-giusto-ora-rigiocherei-150456

Why did you decide to retire now?
"Because I feel that now is the right time to do it. Because football has given me so much and I have enjoyed every moment. Why after injury to the Achilles tendon last April, I wanted to demonstrate that they can return, however, to be competitive and I did. I feel full and realized: retire at 41 years is a priceless feeling. For me it is something that has immense value, and now is the right time. "

Is that really Xavi? I don't think it is, besides, why would he be in Milan during the course of a regular season.

Btw...

====================

Third tier to open for Inter v Lazio
Due to the huge demand for tickets, the third tier Rosso sector will be open too. Let's fill the San Siro and cheer our boys on to three crucial points!

MILAN – Ticket for Inter v Lazio are selling out quickly as Saturday's match at 20:45 is one the Nerazzurri faithful don't want to miss.

The huge demand for tickets has seen a near total sell-out of first and second tier seats, so FC Internazionale has decided to open up the third tier Rosso section as well. Tickets are priced at €23 with concessions (Under-14s, Over-65s and Women) €17.

There will also be a number of entertainment activities with specially dedicated staff on offer. Lots of reasons not to miss out on Inter's last home game of the season!

FC Internazionale is calling on its supporters to fill the Stadio Meazza at 20:45 on 10 May and help spur the team on to earn three crucial points in our push for European football next term.

Tickets are available for purchase through the usual official channels:

- on www.inter.it: tickets can be printed at home or loaded onto your 'siamo noi' card.

- at selected Vivaticket sales points throughout Italy. You can find a list here: www.inter.it/it/punti_vendita_bu

Forza Inter!

====================

Not even a mention that it's OBVIOUSLY because it's gonna be Zanetti's last home game. Seriously wtf is going on?

Btw part 2...During Maldini's last home game, he got jeered by quite a number of Milanista. Maldini even gave them the finger. And now during Zanetti's last home game, the Curva Nord will be closed. Seems like the Gods don't give a fuck about absolute legends ending their careers.

I wouldn't be so confident that Mazzari will play Zanetti to be honest. Maybe the press managers aren't either.

Yup, it was his brother. Xavi probably wasn't allowed to go himself.

Zanetti's career at Inter lasted about the same period that Moratti was a president.

Should have a testimonial between Man Utd and Inter tbh. The amout of respect Zanetti & Giggs have for each other is almost gay-like. :trollol:

Imagine having Giggs as LW and Zanetti as LB. :megusta:

IMO Zanetti wanted continue playing. But now we have a coach who doesn't want to play him and owner who though it is time for him to retire.

I think went pretty weirdly. We learned Zanetti was retiring when there were just 3 games left of this season. He is a living legend of this club I find it embarassing how this was handled.

Agreed. I think Zanetti wanted to continue playing. I think he should have continued playing considering his alternatives are an invalid fraud (Jonathan) and a younger, worse version of himself (D'Ambrosio, defensively solid, offers little in offense).

I think he wanted to play another season. However, he found himself with a disgrace of a coach who won't play him, preferring a retarded clown in his position, a chairman who is suddenly saying things like 'Zanetti will be a director' and 'Zanetti will learn English' and people / reporters everywhere stating his retirement as if it were fact, and ultimately found himself somewhat 'forced' into accepting retirement.

I believe that's why it wasn't confirmed or acknowledged until pressed by a reporter and I think that's why the club (representing Zanetti too) didn't go out first in stating his retirement and celebrating his achievements like they should be. Ultimately, I think this is yet another sad, sad failure in a long list. Perhaps even the most grievous.
