The downside of an old squad is that player will get worse comparing to himself a year earlier.

For instance, Acerbi declining is obvious... I am expecting the same for Darmian, Sommer or De Vrij. Even Mikhy. Not to mention the backups.

Keeping the same form as last year is a huge question marks.

Sure that, but count the players that tipically get better with age in our squad: Martinez, Pavard, Bisseck, Basto, Dumfries, Carlos, Dimarco, Barella, Frattesi, Asllani, Lautaro, Thuram.
I’d argue that even Zielinski, Taremi and Hakan are in the middle of their prime, but wouldn’t say that they can become even better than what they’ve already shown.

I wouldn’t worry about the age thing this season, but certainly we have to rejuvenate a bit next summer.

Gobbi is being overrated IMO. They aren't ready for Scudetto yet, way too many changes in the team. They have to overcome a major obstacle which every team in transition does. Despite of our slow start of the season, I still think we're very likely to win Scudetto again this season.
