After some yard work, guess I'll chill and watch Lecce vs Atalanta today.

Looking how Conte has exited clubs starting from Rube , clubs needs to be smarter and protect themselves with early termination clauses on their terms . He's not the scary Don anymore! And now look at Napoli, the guy is already pissed off and most probably wants out if BigRom won't arrive ( he will though) and this sacking will be very costly. 7M€ net for the next 3 years.

All in all. Only AdL can be blamed for mixing this strange motor oil vegetable meat soup and he now has to eat it too.

He really didn't if you think about it, not in a sense that napoli wants and needs right now. And he just isn't a type of manager to do that. With us, he managed to pick up a really good momentum spalleti started and take it to another level and capitalize on the absolutely stellar mercato we had that year. People tend to forget everywhere he worked he had competent club mngmt behind him, which imo isn't the case in napoli right now. Even in juve when he first came he had marotta, stable ownership and fuck you money compared to other teams that fought for top spots in those years.

So in short, he is a great dude to hire when you need a leap from a manager like spalleti to actually winning something. He gives you that winning mentality and finishing touches, when you already built a solid foundation. The current problem with napoli is they need to take a couple of steps backwards in order to move forward, and conte is lost there, lol.

What de laurentis needed to do is realize the current status of his team and bring someone like de zerbi and start all over again. Instead, arrogant fuck probably thought oh this is a team that won scuddetto we just need a proper coach and everything will click.
We have to be fair he did take a 7th place Juventus and go undefeated. It wasn’t like they spent a ton. But he did have a more positive atmosphere with better management in place than current Napoli team.

Napoli team is currently toxic. Two best players don’t want to be there. Squad is built for different formation. It’s probably a worse situation than he realized when he agree for take the job.

However, I still think Conte is a great coach and can turn around a team. He just needs a team that will actually buy in and one that fits his playing system.

They should have just sold Kvara imo. Go full Conte. Dump the wingers. Use the 100M to overhaul the squad.

That's always been Gasperini's Atalanta. When they're on, they demolish their opponent. Worth remembering that their record against the top half of the table was unimpressive last season; 4-4-8 against top-half opponents. We get Lecce next so hopefully that's a get-right game for us too.

Atalanta currently demolishing Lecce. Brace for Brescianini and Retegui.

Our matchday 3 against Atalanta will be tough.

Every game against them is tough, no exceptions. But they will miss Koop, Lookman, Scamacca and Scalvini which is the same as us missing Bastoni, Barella, Hakan and Lautaro in terms of player importance.

Infront of our fans. We will win.

great goal by a random U20 player no one has ever heard of before. His value jumped :)

haha us on the other hand put in Correa hope someone offers to take him off our hands and we will pay 70% of the wages instead of giving a youth player a chance

Conte would love to go back to Juve. Not only because it's Juve, a club that he's tied to and will always have a bigger appeal than Napoli, but also because they were already used to back 3 and transition would be easier. Also where are you getting from Juve have no money for transfers? Juve have spent the most in transfers from Italian clubs this summer.

They spent 50m for Luiz, 20m for Di Gregorio, 20m for Thuram, 15m for Cabal, they're offering 60m for Koopmeiners, 30m for Nico Gonzalez. Juve definitely have money to spend. They just don't have enough money to make a complete squad overhaul like Motta wanted.
can anyone explain why Juve have that much money to spend? How is this compatible with FFP?

Fabregas really doesn't have the quality in that team to build up from defense. Whats the point if your strikers are Belotti and Cutrone anyway.

Just give the fucking long ball to Belloti and hope for the best

Como is making Juve look way better than what they are
