Juventus and Inter fans are never gonna take as much mutual sadistic satisfaction as they will seeing Conte at Napoli.

Conte to Napoli was one of the strangest decision ever. De laurentis promised him false things probably, he would never sign for this team without a good mercato.

Their team is still quite competitive on paper. They needed that moral boost, which Conte can give. I think people are overreacting a bit over these opening matches of season.

I'm not disagreeing regarding your point on ADL, but honestly I can understand Conte's appointment as Napoli coach. They might not win the league, but with some adjustments in their group, their team can compete for top spots and why not be a threat for the title.

Them finishing the season below European spots is exactly the reason that their team was mentally broken. There are top quality players, and also they aren't missing experience or whatever.

Watched part of the Bologna Udinese game. Bologna seem to be back to default. Fabbian didn't have a good game, and the 25m price tag for Ndoye is a joke.

Not sure if de laurentis promised him false things, but their hand is kinda tied with Osimehn's transfer. Not sure who's gonna actually scoop him for 120m, not alot of teams can afford that. Madrid has Mbappe, Man Utd just purchased Hojlund last season, PSG has Ramos and Kolo. Maybe Chelsea?

I'm baffled why he's not being used, not sure if he's refusing to play or they are just freezing him so he doesn't get injured.

Don't have one.
Conte trajectory as a coach is a prime example of what happens when you have principles, and you are an arrogant cunt at the same time. You can only have proper principles if you don't skew it with your arrogance.

If he had a certain amount of humility and patience after he left juve he probably wouldn't be in a position to have to accept clubs like tottenham and napoli who are the antithesis of everything which his arrogance and principles tells him he is.

He fought tooth and nails to avoid loser clubs, and then those are the ones who only want him now. It's a delicious irony which i m enjoying so much right now.

If only the club hadn't decided to parody their own key players by making a coconut joke.

Not really. Conte had stayed unemployed for more than a year. He had to go back to work. In EPL he had burned bridges after Chelsea and Tottenham. No one considered him there. PSG had a coach. He was never in the list for Bayern. Barcelona would never go for him due to style. So only Italy was left. Inter had a coach. His beloved Juve totally ignored him and chose to take a risk with Motta. Milan saw him as a bad fit for their project. Roma chose to stick with De Rossi. Only Napoli was left. He had no other option.

As for ADL, after last season disaster he couldn't take more risks. He had to go for someone proven and Conte was his best option. Also the only one who was desperate enough to accept working with De Laurentiis.

It made sense for both sides. Problem is Napoli needed many signings to play Conte ball and so far they have done very little. Buongiorno was a good signing but nowhere near enough. They need more signings and they need to sort out Osimhen situation.

And some FIFers believed Conte will win the scudetto lmao
I still think they’re the fourth best team in the league and Conte is still a good coach. Roma and Atalanta have both taken a step back this year so I’d still favor them for the fourth spot over Lazio. Assuming us, juve and Milan are going to finish top three.

I still think Napoli is going to finish the season above gobbi and Milan. Not sure if Conte is going to remain there until the end of season, but if he's not leaving or getting sacked, he will likely end up in second spot, behind Inter.
