Regarding Fonseca, he is not a bad coach and could succeed. However he’s not who I would’ve went for.
Fonseca could surprise y'all. Just like Inzaghi did at Inter.
True. I wonder anyway if PSG could still splash another 70-100M for Lautaro after getting Kvara.Napoli have to accept this offer for Kvara, right? Conte will have no use for him.
Many people were against Inzaghi coming here. Let's not rewrite history - it started before he coached the first game for Inter.Inzaghi did not really surprise in terms of eventual winning, the surprise was in fact more he had such a bad start in his tenure where Inzaghi throw away a sure scudetto in the first season and that to an inferior team that really did not help, that was followed by an atrocious second season in the league that was only saved by an unexpected CL final (that likely also saved his job). This was actually was the main reason people started questioning his ability and whether he was the right pick. Also people was generally disappointed over loosing Conte and a couple of key players and getting a coach considered to be a downgrade, but people still expect him to actually win but was let down for two seasons.
So it’s not remotely the same situation, there differences by being let down for two seasons and that lead to pessimism and a coach that can only really surprise.
While he might not be a bad coach, it’s an odd choice given what other were available. It can only be because of owners and board wanting a contingency of players development and one not putting forward demands
I hated the hire and felt validated in feeling that way after his first season. He's improved as a manager since he arrived here. His substitution patterns are much better. Many people were against Inzaghi coming here. Let's not rewrite history - it started before he coached the first game for Inter.
Yeah, Conte had Hazard at Chelsea in those times he used 3-4-3. Could see a bit similar thing with Kvara. But PSG being interested (if the report is even true) puts some pressure to ADL to improve Kvara's contract.Conte used to play 3-4-3, many times. So Kvara could stay, also Chiesa wont renew and wants to stay in Italy so I can see him ending in Napoli too. Kvara Osimhen Chiesa looks great on a paper.

And that's nothing wrong. That is why I don't see how Fonseca is instantly regarded as a dud when it happened to Inzaghi too. And I wasn't an Inzaghi fan either but he won me over.I hated the hire and felt validated in feeling that way after his first season. He's improved as a manager since he arrived here. They got LeBron James of Soccer. What did Milan do this year that the valuation jumped 35%?
Apparently Lele Oriali will join Conte in Napoli. It will be tough next season to win with Juventus and Napoli in the race I assume. Not impossible of course.
Friendly match after season is over? Weird.Milan and Roma are playing a friendly at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. Giroud's last game. Roma dominating so far.
