La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports wiretapping between Juventus directors Stefano Bertola and Federico Cherubini: ‘This is as bad as Calciopoli, but we created it.’

The conversation between Juventus sporting director Cherubini and Bertola, the former financial director of the club, reportedly occurred on July 22, 2021, at a restaurant in Turin and was recorded by investigators looking into Juventus’ finances.
“This is as bad as Calciopoli, but we created it,” said Bertola, according to the report.
Cherubini allegedly admitted that Fabio Paratici, the former Juventus sporting director pushed a ‘lawful method too far’ referring to inflated transfer values registered by the club to balance the books.
The Turin Prosecutor believes the Bianconeri manipulated three financial statements with inflated transfer values and hiding payments to footballers after announcing that their players would give up to four months’ salaries during the peak of the COVID pandemic.
Gazzetta also reports that current CFO Stefano Cerrato discussed some suspicious transfers, including swap deals between Marley Aké and Franco Tongya and Miralem Pjanic and Arthur, with a financial auditor of the club, saying that he would have somehow tricked CONSOB, the Italian body in charge of supervising activities in the stock exchange market.
Investigators believe that inflated transfer values helped the club balance the books.

According to the latest reports, 11 individuals and Juventus as a club will be recommended for a trial over financial irregularities, including Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved and Tottenham director Fabio Paratici.

Will we get that second star ?
No, in Calciopoli we got the Scudetto only because UEFA forced Lega to announce the champion (for CL and so on). 04-05 Scudetto was just stripped and not given to anyone. Probably similar thing will happen here if they are found guilty enough that stripping will take place.

Juventus is the only team that gets away with things of this nature. I should add, Juventus in Italy is the only team that gets away.

I just can't understand their level of arrogance. To them they're clearly innocent. They do exist in a reality where their entitlement is a very big part of their existence.

The level of narcissism throughout the club is really surprising to me. I can't wrap my head around how they're not ashamed at all, how nobody has the decency to come out and just admit of half of the wrongs they did and why all of them were sacked/resigned.

It's the norm for them to play outside the rules, not even break them, just have special set of rules for them, special treatment, double standards, etc. In this day and age, in all of this (för good and bad) cancel culture, Juventus and the family that runs them are 100% untouchable.

They're not even bothered at all.

Nobody expects that something will happen to them. We're just hoping and waiting for a miracle and we would be happy even with the tiniest punishment.

Can you explain this to all the juve fans on reddit? They all think because the directors resigned the club is in the clear and the case is only against the directors.
Retarded way of thinking. If I signed an illegal document while employed in my company the company is liable just like I am, even if I quit afterwards. Those who don't know this never been in a job.

Juve's relegation was one of the 10 best things I've ever seen in my life. If I see the same thing again I'll think I'm blessed by god even if I'm an atheist :)
Can't be an atheist if you believe in Zanetti

They are NOT the only team who get away with this.

They are quite literally the only team in top levels football who are so deeply involved with frauds.

Making them play in the EL, with heavy restrictions and forcing them to sell players to be compliant, lots of suspended fines etc, would be beautiful
This is what Milan should’ve had to endure but instead they weaseled out of it with the heavy “punishment” of a “voluntary withdrawal” from the EL.

Sadly, jube is like a cancer, and it will keep growing back. It's wild that it took less than two decades for all of this to happen again. But Serie A's name will always be tainted by this ludicrous corporation. Name me one club in football with a worse name that's smeared with even more corruption - it doesn't exist. This karma will feel good for a while but it's not gonna matter in the end, rube will be stealing the next Scudetto before we know it. Until they're exposed again in the 2040's and the cycle starts anew. :)

Voluntary withdrawal while spending 100m on transfer market in the process. And that was after spending over 200m in the previous summer. I always laugh when Milanisti claim they suffered from FFP.

There was no precedence set in Calciopoli for contractual termination, as far as I'm aware, that being said, if you're joining Juve post calciopoli, it wouldnt be unbelievable to set that sort of contractual clause in the case the club is found of some degree of wrong doing.

Probably it's one of the "insiders" on twitter. Low number of followers and he has a tick not because he's verified but because he's subscribed to Twitter Blue  Fucking Musk and his great ideas.

Juventus, prosecutors describe the facts of the investigation: "Criminal context of alarming gravity" With these statements, the prosecutors of Turin described the facts of the investigation which sees Juventus and its managers accused "A criminal context of alarming seriousness having been faced with unlawful conduct, repeated and protracted over time, for three years, of undoubted weight (440,887 million adjustments to shareholders' equity in three years), branched and diversified". This is how the Turin prosecutors describe the facts object of the investigation into Juventus' accounts, highlighting that "the crimes analysed, due to the actual methods of carrying them out, outline a high subjective danger of the offenders, making the period undeniably concrete that the same, if the opportunity presents itself, they continue to commit crimes".

This appeared today on the web, ( www.Fcinter1908.it for who likes to know the source), I would like to highlight the " repeated and protracted over time" statement, this can lead to massive consequences.
