I'm just stating the obvious that people blissfully ignore so that they can be miserable over the internet because they have nothing else to vent about.
So people only criticize Handanovic because they are miserable and have nothing else to vent about?!

The discussion about Handa not being mobile enough for a supposed world class goalkeeper has been going on for more than 5 years. I should know, I started it. He had other qualities to be called WC.

I'm just annoyed that the same bickering is still going on.

Decent article by Dailymail on Serie A reflecting mostly on last weekend games.

Part of their bit on Inter:

HANDANOVIC, BARELLA AND BROZOVIC SAVE INTER MILAN

This week we've learned how quickly judgments can change.

In football, one second across the 90 minutes is enough to tip things on their head and Inter's worst players of the last few games, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella and Samir Handanovic have probably saved Simone Inzaghi from a violent storm of controversy.

The 24th league goal of Brozovic's career gave Inter three crucial points and now they must immediately reapply themselves in Serie A and in Europe in order not to prevent the gap from the top teams increasing further.

Unfortunately with old age what tends to happens is people look back at think everything was better from certain time-periods because their life was better and now they’re just old and miserable. The exact term for it is nostalgia merchants.

Said poster also thinks Serie A > Premier League for example because it was 15 years ago. Icardi > Lukaku because 5 years ago he was even though nowadays one of them is playing in Turkey

The irony is that 15 years ago the same discussion took place and anyone saying Serie A > Premier League at the time was delusional by the same deluded people that think they have everyone else figured out but all they do is spew bitter nonsense because the internet is the only place they carry some relevance, so they need to pretend they like what's popular so that their own fake popularity becomes their reality. Some eventually do because they learn to know nothing better than that.

15 years ago was 2007 by the way.

Pls this is going to be a carbon copy of last season post Milan-Spezia. The refs felt like they owed them after that, way more than usual, and sure as shit gave them everythingin

I have never seen or heard of an Inter fan ever say that they would have rather seen that team win. They been buying this joke of a league for over 30 years, a couple of years of them getting done wont change much mate.

I mean come on surely I can't be the only one that sees how this will go? The VAR literally made a mistake and it happened to be against Juve. They're going to feel like they owe them and it won't stop at just 1 match. Again all you have to do is go back and look at the decisions Milan were getting last year after that Spezia game.

All the media acted like the world came to a complete halt when they seen the mistake. I can guarantee you all the 50/50, 40/60 and maybe even 30/70 decisions will go Juve's way for the rest of the season. I hope I'm wrong but we'll see

So nothing will change with the exception of what happened vs Salernitana.

They are so progressively bad these last three seasons that now no one from outside can help them. In the past they had good teams that could've been aided when a game is tight, because the chances are that team that has quality creates more opportunities so a 50-50 or 40-60 calls for example could go to them (tbh this is true for football in general outside of Italy as well).

No one can help Allegri's negative shit football.

Now Milan is the team that has quality to create and get those calls and they are getting them especially since January after the Spezia game. They have plenty of shithousers (also good players) like Theo, Leao, Tonali that can milk every challenge against them to facilitate ref's decision in their favour.

We have Lautaro who does this so bad and in bad moments that only it earned him a reputation as a diver among refs so he won't get even legitimate calls at times.

Just caught some more of Kvaratskhelia’s season highlights thus far - what an absolutely inspired bit of scouting from Napoli. The guy is an absolute menace.

dont get me wrong, he's an incredible talent BUT the highlights obviously dont show the whole picture.

He's had some nice dribbles but his actually successful dribble % is rather poor. His current percentage is at 43, 10 successful dribbles in 23 attempts.

Wingers with good dribbling such as Leao, Chiesa, Lozano etc. are around the 60-70% mark..definitely something he has to work on

Not really no, he successfully dribbled 40% of the time (13 out of 32) last season. Ive also been trying to compare Kvicha with wingers and not fowards/midfielders

My point stands, he adapted fast and well but he loses lots of balls and his passing currently isnt in the top tier

If he completed 70%+ of dribbles, he wouldn’t have cost Napoli 10m. Leao and Chiesa both go for about 70/80m right now, hence my emphasis on the scouting part of the deal.

Obviously isn’t perfect, but if he’s good enough to tear Liverpool a new one, then he can keep going as he is.

Also, where is he losing those balls? If it’s high up the pitch, then it’s not so bad. If he’s losing them ala Sanchez, smack bang in the middle of the park leading the team to be caught in transition, then it’s obviously a problem.
